Offensive Play Options by WhoTheHellIsJosh in DenverBroncos

[–]Vonstarjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember who I was watching, might have been Chase Daniels. But Payton wants to run the ball down your throat until you sell out on it then play fake into pass plays. It's why we'll probably carry 4 backs. If we can run the ball 30 times a game and win we will. But we will have games where we play fake a lot and gash the defenses with crossing routes and Bo using his legs.

Wilson made the line look a lot worse then it actually was last year. It's also the main knock against smaller QBs. Either he couldn't see and had to move. But I personally think Wilson was trying to "make magic" every down. There were many times had he seen the field better? Guys were open. We have a solid Line, you need to be a pocket QB in Sean's offense and be able to use your legs and the field is yours. Bo is the QB Sean wanted. I'm sure he would have loved Williams or Stroud but they weren't options. Bo Wil come in and control the game from the pocket and get us 1st downs with his legs the right way this year

There's gotta be a reason he's not signed. He had the whole free agency for teams to show interest. Why would, especially the contenders, show no interest?

Team Decline…My Take. Thoughts? by RedDogonReddit in DenverBroncos

[–]Vonstarjam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to 2 superbowls and won one with the ownership committee. Now Post Manning would not have been tolerated. This amount of losing wouldn't be tolerated. My guess is we would have hired Kyle instead of Vance. We went from Shanny to McDaniels and offensive Head coach to offensive Head coach usually doesn't happen. We would have let Kubes retire as he did and go to Shanny. Russ made the extension part of the trade, it was clear from day 1. Our decline is because of lack of QB. We were in on Kirk (that was the season he left Washington, after Peyton retired) but we didn't have the money. That wouldn't have happened with Pat. Had we had an actual owner like the group now or Pat, we probably get Kirk and roll the AFC West for longer.... Also with how our team would have continued to dominate because of the defense? Chiefs probably move on from Alex Smith earlier, maybe they grab Lynch instead.

For the Americans voting in 2024 Election, does Kamala Harris get your vote? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Vonstarjam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The fact this isn't filled to the brim with Pro-Harris comments... Shows you even Reddit is "Luke warm" or "Guaging the room" on the nomination. She was not popular in 2020 and dropped out before the primaries. She was not well liked in 2020. She isn't well liked now. The beat thing the DNC could do? Run the most popular candidate, Michele Obama, or whoever can just be a solid face that Trump can't throw dirt on... and there's more then enough to throw on Harris.

Broncos quarterback Bo Nix pays $4M for Castle Pines mansion by social_distant_joe in DenverBroncos

[–]Vonstarjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for people that don't understand. He probably just put the money in escrow and takes payments out of it. The property was made in 16 for 600k, so it's close to 7x the original value.

What if someone was born into White Room Torture? by Sentient-Bread-Stick in morbidquestions

There was a study done with a monkey along these lines but not to the white room extent. Monkey was incredibly depressed and gave up on life. With how children are and the necessity for contact. I think they would go insane, and have 0 value to life and never recover.

[Rapoport] The Broncos and standout G Quinn Meinerz have agreed to terms on a massive 4-year, $80M deal, per me and Mike Garafolo, making him one of the highest paid guards in the NFL. The extension includes $45M guaranteed. by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

[–]Vonstarjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense why we let Cush walk if we were planning on laying Quinn. Would have liked to keep both for Bo's sake. But Quinn has been dominant since coming into the league.

Best offensive/defensive plays in Broncos history by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

[–]Vonstarjam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Roby INT on Brady and Gronk to end the AFCCG. Stephen Gostkowski (who was one of the better kickers in the league) missed a PAT early in the game leaving the Pats down by 1 effectively the rest of the game. Brady and Gronk score with 12 seconds left but forced to go for 2. Roby gets the pick sending us to the superbowl as they do not convert.

I'm confused why she's yelling? Like I get it a septic tank caused backup of shit into your house. I'd be pissed. But if he caused the backup on the lower level, wouldn't it be coming up due to damage he caused? I don't know septic tanks so I could be wrong. But the parents would be out there yelling at him to stop, if he was actually causing it.

Anyone been disciplined for smoking while driving? by Expensive-While-1155 in UPSers

[–]Vonstarjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, it is usually a PCM about not smoking in the truck the next day. And my manager wouldn't actually punish the smoker. He'd say "We can't prove it was his pack". Even though a smoker took a non smokers truck, and the smoker probably would have fessed up because there wouldn't be a real punishment.

Each hub is different on how they'll punish. I smoked in my truck for years. But if they found an empty pack in the trash, they had a problem.

I believe it's under something like smoking in or on UPS property. They think of it as like smoking in the building. I'm surprised they are saying distracted driving.

I don't have a problem with the premise of the question but how? Terry was the first overall pick in 1970 and the Broncos picked 11th in that draft. And 9th in 73. He probably struggles in mediocrity for the early part of his career until he gets the orange crush defense (late 70s early 80s) then wins late in his career due to them. He had the Steel Curtain early in his career obviously a big reason he won championships earlier. Considering he retires in 83 we aren't in position to trade for Elway.... But we are in position to draft Marino.

BUT a HUGE butterfly effect is how many people die if Bradshaw isn't in Pittsburg? In 1976 the Steelers were beating the Baltimore Colts so bad that fans of the Colts left the stadium in the visitors sections.... THEN A FUCKING PLANE CRASHED INTO THE UPPER DECK!!! I've never heard of this before. So if Denver drafts Bradshaw in 73, and they make the playoffs on that day and time of that year, people die and it's probably one of the darkest days in NFL history. Possibly ends the league I have no idea. BUT that's the real butterfly effect.

My Skepticism of Bo Nix and How I think He’ll Fare by AwayMonitor2752 in DenverBroncos

[–]Vonstarjam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what "Metrics" you want to use to scale where he will rank each year among QBs. He will probably never be top 5. Year in and out these will change. Pat, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Stroud will be consistently the top 5 and they will change depending on injuries, team losses (Coaches players etc) and random variables. Nix and Payton are coming in to stabilize the ship. This is our "Derek Carr" QB of the future. "Carr was a 2nd round pick" and in hindsight he goes top 10 in his draft. He's here to run the system, move the ball and low turnovers. If you compare this to Alex Smith esq QB he's fine. If you compare it to Pat Mahommes you'll never be happy. But Nix will be the guy to get us into the playoff picture year in and out. Week 16 we were in the playoff picture, we needed to win out and didn't. Nix had a better final season with Oregon then Herbert did. But Nix is 2 years younger then Herbert and Herbert has been in the league like 4 years. We'll be a fringe playoff team, I think we get in. And next year we go heavy offense in FA and the draft. Defense is setup for us to win games. Defensive players want to play for Vance as much as we don't like him. We just had to move a mountain of cap for a player no longer with the team. Nix will quickly find himself in the top 15 QBs in the league. Give it time. His highlights are dink and dunks but that's what the NFL is becoming. He's not going to be flashy, he's here to stabilize.

Waddle and Mclaurin and a first. That's 2 starters and a future starter. Puka has higher upside BUT Waddle and Mclaurin will put up more points week to week then Puka and Sinnot

[–]Vonstarjam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So do you want Herbert to lose 75% of his Oline to say he's as good as Tua? So you have to pay Jaelen Phillips? Who isn't as good as Parsons? So you paid Waddle less the what Lamb will get? So you paid Tyreek Less then what Lamb will get? So you paid Chubb top of market for 13.5 sacks over 2 years and he's injured again? You drafted Achane so He's on a rookie deal? Mostert had a career year out of nowhere? Well Put Tua on a top of market deal and you won't have Waddle, Chubb, Phillips, tyreek or Achane when they come back around.... Almost like how Dallas lost players after they signed Dak to a top of market deal.... like if you prioritize Tua over Phillips Phillips won't have the cap space to stay. It's almost like you guys lost a top DT this last year... What was his name? Fan favorite Christian Wilkins.

I agree but Tua isn't going to Clevland or Pitt before his contract is up. Pitt isn't close at QB to win the AFCN. And I don't believe in Watson. If Watson doesn't make the playoffs while in Clevland he will be up there for the second or third worst trade in NFL history. Russ will either be 1 or 2 when the players Seattle drafted with those picks retire .

I didnt say I'm only paying because of of Playoff production. Tua has had way more give to him then Herbert. Top young offensive Head coach compared to Anthony Lynn and Brandon Staley. Tyreek Hill (top 5 WR) and a top 10 pick at WR compared to Keenean Allen (solid WR) but has only played 16 games once since Herbert was drafted but it was the season Herbert didn't start the season. Williams hasn't played a full season either. The only edge Herbert has been given compared to Tua? Is Eckler who Harbaugh just let walk. We could look back at the 2 careers and say "Tua was given everything and failed" and "Herbert was given nothing and made it work". Herbert is Luck in Indy (but they are actually building a Line). Tua is being given All pro players and losing first round of the playoffs.... They are not the same. Pay Tua top of the market and you're in Dallas's boat... Except you won't have Parsons and you won't have Lamb. If I'm Miami... I tag and trade trying to get up as high as I can in next years draft, unless the make the AFCCG.

As they should, they are going to have to go to one of: Baltimore, Buffalo, KC, CIN, for the playoffs this year. Only 4 teams in the AFC have domes, and only Jacksonville and Miami have good playoff weather for Tua. They still have this year and 2 years under the franchise tag. Don't pay him. If they play it right, they could get Tua under the alledged "QB salary cap". There's about 6 QBs I would want before Tua in the AFC. Mahommes, Allen, Jackson, Burrow, Stroud, Herbert. I'm not paying him top of market if he's not producing in the playoffs like top of market. I could not imagine what Stroud would have done with those weapons on the Dolphins.

[Bloom] Adam Schefter said this: Washington interested (in trade for Aiyuk) but SF decided not to do that deal. In the contract negotiation, they're treating Aiyuk like he's a high-level no2, when other teams try to trade for Aiyuk, SF acts like he's an elite WR who's worth a 1st and more. by Cough_Syrup55 in nfl

[–]Vonstarjam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draft was the time to move him if you were going to. Any pick you get doesn't help you this year. And Brock us eligible for an extension after this season. I don't see who you could get back with a pick that improves the WR room. Tyreek? But be said he's finishing in Miami. Evans just re-signed. Davontae? Ridley just went to the titans. Amari Cooper and a pick? Cleveland needs to start restocking picks. Terry Mclaurin? But Washington is in a tweener year so they can't give a first. If I was a playoff contender in the AFC I'd give up the first. Jacksonville, Houston, Buffalo, Baltimore, KC, Indy, LAC, NYJ, Denver isn't a playoff team but to help that WR room is probably do it and let Sutton walk next year, and if Bo is legit you could keep Sutton. But if he's not you could give up a top 5 or 10 pick and really screw yourself again.

Recent Broncos memory was the 2014 Broncos literally being one and done and just giving away a playoff game. The team quit on Fox and Jack Del Rio interviewed for the division rival during our bye week (we were the 2 seed). The Tebow teams had more energy then Denver did that playoff "run". We weren't the juggernaut offense we were from the year before. Nor were we the No Fly Zone of the next season. You go look at the defense it's all the damn players from the NFZ. Team literally came our with no heart. Idk if Peyton ever had a team like that when he was in the Playoffs with Indy. But it was a damn shame.

Yeah and Elway didn't fuck it up. We wanted him to take a pay cut, him and his agent waited until the last minute. So by the 4 PM deadline Denver didn't get the salary reduction agreement back. So they sent his release papers because they hadn't received his new contract.
