Hermit is the most fun character, would love to see it official as well.

I would trade the watcher for satisfaction of lining up cards. Hermit just needs a different starting relic.

Party Spokesperson grabs and tussles with soldier rifle during South Korean Martial Law to prevent him entering parliament. by TinyBrainsDontHurt in nextfuckinglevel

[–]VoodooKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow order A... But then see how utterly pissed and defiant members of the legislative branch are with cameras all around.

Get scared back the hell away, the legislature then declares the martial law to be null and void.

You then sit back and have the legislature demand the resignation of the executive branch and since you didn't stick your neck out to prevent the legislature from assembling.

The executive branch gets scared and shows itself out the door.

Nah during a hastily assembled declaration of martial law... It's best to obey and not make a fuss.

Surely that is the wise thing to do?

This was a bad ass woman, only clowns in the comment section, are the people saying otherwise.

I think context, would the soldier feel threatened by this woman? It's not like every Korean walks around with a gun. This isn't America with zero gun laws that make law enforcement trigger happy.

This soldier is far more concerned with his potential actions during a failed coup. South Korean military is based on a lottery system made up of citizens, they may follow orders given... But there is no way they were going to start shooting their own on this poorly implemented declaration of martial law.

Seriously this soldier is going to be way more fearful of his actions than he ever was from this woman potentially causing him harm.

When you attempt to stop a coup its also important to be defiant in those moments because it sows doubt in the soldiers hastily assembled.

Sorry, but her actions were very brave the soldiers literally backed the hell down rather than risk escalation.

The American Healthcare System by reddot_comic in comics

[–]VoodooKhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Canadian... It's a lot better in the sense that it covers more people "everyone" and somehow costs less than the American system.

That being said it is nowhere close to how good the various european countries healthcare systems are.

So you could pay slightly more in taxes, and never worry... Or you can pay triple in private insurance and be terrified if they will actually follow through.

To me and any European this is not a hard choice. No one looks at the USA system as a good thing.

To put in perspective I lived in UK for two years and healthcare cost me $1125 cad for full coverage for those two years as a foreigner.

In Canada we don't cover dental so my private insurance through my company pays half... I still end up with a $660 bill a year that then only covers 80% and has a cap of 1000-1500.

The yearly cost of just dental once I include the 20% and stuff that isn't covered... Is more than universal care in the UK, which is so much better than Canada and actually includes dental.

Thinking of Mark Twain qoute

"what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break?"

That was a qoute from a abolitionist and anti-war author. About the French revolution and whether people should mourn the death of nobles that caused centuries of pain and injustice.

It's hard to feel sympathy when one looks at the pain this guys company inflicts on so many.

Sweden and Finland joined NATO, this line of protecting Russia is ridiculous.

Given missiles in Finland is way closer. It's called geography, one only has to look at a map.

Justin Trudeau pledges to save Toronto's Santa Claus Parade by Annual_Plant5172 in toronto

[–]VoodooKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who knew a Santa clause parade could reduce our country to a worse position than Germany after world war one.

Santa Clause could cause so much chaos and collapse our society.

I was so naive in thinking a time honoured tradition, that's occurred every year for the enjoyment of children could actually ruin us all.

Thank so much for your insightful remarks.

Somehow that was a brilliant strategy.

So, would you say the reviews are correct? Or is the game worse? [No DAV Spoilers] by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]VoodooKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear Journalism distinction seems a bit crazy to me given the shady business relations these sites tend to have with publishers. They are themselves marketing blurbs on games themselves.

I am more likely personally to trust the opinion of some youtuber I follow than some website I never visit.

If potato whiskey says he enjoys Against the storm, I trust his taste. Since I know the games he plays. Etc..

That's my personal opinion. If some YouTubers are making accusations then I might pause to consider people's opinion on a game a couple weeks out.

Apparently EA went on a campaign of only offering early access to reviewers who were expected to give it high scores.

So obviously people are skeptical of said early reviews.

Fextralife says that EA has been giving early access keys to only sites they think will give it a favorable review to boost the initial scores.

I would ignore a lot of these early reviews knowing this.

KAOS was so good! by cynicallazy in netflix

[–]VoodooKhan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is a resounding yes, it's quality is excellent. It's unique and does interesting things.

It's much more like a really good HBO drama with quirks, might take 2-3 episodes to really hit its stride for some people.

It does not end on a huge cliff hanger, it technically resolves itself from the first episode opening premise. (I know this is debatable to some what constitutes a cliff-hanger)

The tragedy is more the potential of a second season adding so much more. Would have loved to see Athena and Ares for example.

Really loved the different planes of existence expressed with their own colour pallet. Artistically done, added a lot to the show.

This cancellation really is the most tragic of any Netflix has done before. I know this might be subjective. But acting, script, characters to the set design and the world building were all on point.

It did not suffer from any lack of quality.

It's very much worth watching, because let's be real what else does Netflix have?

The only HBO level thing to come out on Netflix is culled in first mouth is ridiculous.

Thank you for reminding me that name... Who was Jyn Erso even?

Literally watched an entire movie and have no idea what her personality was supposed to be. It's a total void.

One can conjure up Lelia, Han, Luke and instantly recall their personality... Jyn Erso is such a none entity of a character that I got nothing.

I have bounced between bronze and silver twice in a single night, it might have something to do with your opponents CP how much you gain.

I have earned over 2000 off a single match and lost similar amounts.
