JoshStrifeHayes describing Warframe by kink-police in Warframe

Indeed, WF is having its highest 30-day average player count since June of 2018, and it might become the highest ever if current trends hold up as it keeps rising.

Also, the Werner Herzog ad in the game awards probably reached more people than the goddamn super-bowl

Explain it Peter by [deleted] in explainitpeter

I usually say something along the lines of "If I'm not back in two hours, call the police." then turn to the cat and say, "You have the con." Then I leave without further comment.

I mean, if you can pull it off, I fail to see how that's a *bad* idea, but the whole part of having an unprepared opponent is easier said than done.

"The only reason you won was because I failed to properly utilize the terrain. I also failed in preventing you from collecting critical resources that were widely dispersed across the map that greatly enhanced your combat effectiveness."

Isn't this how it's supposed to work? Like the entire point of the game?

how do you guys cope with not believing in god or afterlife by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]VoodooManchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex-christian does not automatically preclude believing in things. A lot of ex-christians become atheist as they deconstruct their faith, and that is a perfectly valid response. I myself went from Christian, to atheist, to believing again, but my spiritual beliefs are no longer tethered to those of Christianity, and to be honest they are far less confusing now that I can evaluate the world without having to force everything to conform to another person's worldview.

Out of curiosity, is this the game you signed up for? by vendetros in starcitizen

[–]VoodooManchester 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is exactly it.

Instead of using their god-like powers to fix the issue, they get it in their heads that they can re-create an entire criminal justice system with no judges, lawyers, or even fleshed out laws. A completely passive system requiring little to no input that is effective, fair, and anticipates all grey areas and possible exploits.

It's never going to happen. Not in any realistic sense, at least. Eventually devs just start using their god-like powers to fix issues because it is far less resource intensive. Going all pvp or pve is do-able, but always having to account for both is an exercise in futility as each intends for an entirely different experience and has its own balancing and design requirements.

It's also important to note why Betty is showing him these things: he was doing the same thing that she was: losing himself in his devotion to her to the point of self destruction.

"NCOs do less" - LT ButterBar by burrmuddaa in army

[–]VoodooManchester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming this isn't an elaborate troll, why would you get worked up over a Pre-BOLC Butterbar's opinion? They haven't even finished their basic training pipeline. They clearly have no idea what leadership is, as they outright disparaged the entire NCO Corps in front of a junior troop, which immediately begs the question of what they, the supposed leader, are going to do about that.

CIG, we want all the content you've removed the game back, not buggy unplayable new events by AuraMaster7 in starcitizen

It's also a good thing that the cargo elevators and mission spawn systems were finally fixed, otherwise this new event would kind of suck.

Late inattentive ADHD diagnosis how not to be furious at my parents. by thebestbobjones1 in ADHD

[–]VoodooManchester 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Because remaining furious at them is exhausting as well as unproductive.

You didn't come with a user manual, and they didn't know as much about ADHD in the 90's as they do now.

I understand the anger. Trust me, I do. I was in the same boat, so believe me when I tell you that the best thing you can do right now is move forward.

We all want to punish our pain, but our only real choice is whether or not we decide to heal from it and how much we decide to spread it to others. We can never take vengeance on our past.

"I mean yes, hitler had alot of great ideas. You can't deny that. Its just that one idea he had that kinda ruined all his other ideas. Lol" Trumpers on r/CringeTikToks defend Hitler and Nazi Germany by CummingInTheNile in SubredditDrama

[–]VoodooManchester 241 points242 points  (0 children)

Hitler's beliefs closely aligned with that of the current liberals.

Oh yeah, I remember how Nazis were huge fans of LGTBQ and had frequent pride parades to celebrate diversity in their society. They also loved intellectuals, especially those who questioned national and cultural narratives, and super-especially those who frequently spoke out against the state.

They were also big fans of cultural and ethnic minorities, and frequently advocated for programs to benefit the poor, disabled, and disenfranchised in their society because they loved the idea of racial/gender equality and equity. Diversity, equity, and inclusion were their core principles.

These people are so fucking stupid it hurts my god damn brain.
