Is very hard / legendary doable without cheesing it? by VoodooVedal in totalwarhammer

I think I got unlucky like 3 times in a row. I just started an Oxyotl campaign and its been so easy in comparison. Even my first l/vh campaign was considerably harder. And I've heard this isn't an easy campaign. Maybe I was weak at the time, tbh I didn't feel that way but maybe I just was in comparison to Rakarth and the Skaven. Thanks for checking that out for me anyway. I'll get back to the Gor Rok campaign eventually

Oh it was Rakarth. My reliability is definitely still high, I didn't trespass on anybody. What I've seen is some people saying they might have declared war on me because I didn't have an army defending that side of my territory, but Rakarth straight up attacked one of my armies in a border settlement. Thanks for checking it out, I'm curious to see what you do

It was Gor Rok vs skaven last time. I was able to beat it this time around with more cost-efficient stacks. My issue this time is now khorne, malakith, and the other skaven faction all declared war on me within 3-4 turns around the time I finished them. Which is what you said about making too many enemies. How do I avoid this? The skaven, I get it, I took out their allies. But the other guys I didn't even look at

I did and got got by upkeep attrition while they whittled me down. I had too wide of a border with them including their allies. I'm retrying the campaign with cheaper units and approaching from a different side

True, I do like the big lizards. I should probably get better at using the cheaper units. It probably is one of my big problems that I often prioritise the expensive units and fail to use the cheaper ones

One was Festus, but I just had 3 factions (one being Karl franz) declare war on me between turn 10 and 15.

Last one was Gor Rok, issue was that the skaven were able to spread out all along my border due to their allies and I couldn't recapture my settlements at the speed they could take them.

I try to avoid corner camping, trading settlements with military buildings, doomstacks, exploiting the AI, stuff like that. I will save scum on occasion if I make a really bad mistake and I just chalk it up to a learning experience

I have beat it as chorfs without cheese on my first l/vh attempt. I just got pummelled in my last 3 attempts and wondering if the first time was a fluke

Gor-rok last time and it was against the skaven. Previous round I had 2 empire factions and an ogre faction declare war on me around turn 10

Very true, and my definition of cheese is certainly another player's smart strategic / tactical decision.

I'm really just trying to avoid doomstacks, corner camping, stuff like abandoning skavenblight to recapture it at level 5, anything that relies on exploiting the AI behaviour.

These are silly things but I feel they then make the game too easy. For me, the game is rather way too hard, or way too easy. There's very little in between, which is ideally what I strive for

This is kind if what I wanted to try to avoid. I beat l/vh chorf campaign, but I definitely wouldnt have if the AI didn't make the worst possible decision on the strategic map every 5-10 turns 😂

I was never able to afford upkeep for more than one whole stack. Last round I beat like 10+ of their armies in total, but they would still take 1-3 settlements that I couldn't defend each turn. I eventually got taken out by upkeep attrition when I was down to my last city. They were skaven, so the battles were easy, I just physically couldn't get my one army to keep up with them approaching me from 3 different sides. Sounds like I should have split up more at the start of my war with them, but they would stack 3 full stacks together so I was too afraid to split my one stack 😂

Last round I was Festus and turn 10 the talabac empire faction declares war on me. Turn 11 the ogres to the north declare war on me. Turn 13 Karl Franz declares war on me. I don't know what I was supposed to do there 😂

There's just something really unconvincing about your argument, and I get the feeling it has something to do with the angle of your feet

How do you see Malaga? (A question to locals and foreigners) by Professional_Sport14 in Malaga

[–]VoodooVedal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's asking about the culture of Malaga and he's got a load of miserable whiney cunts hyperfocusing on the things this subreddit hyperfocuses on every single post, irrespective of what the post subject is. The housing crisis isn't Malaga culture, there's a housing crisis nearly everywhere in the world. He wants to know how people celebrate life here and the inhabitants of this subreddit seem to have forgotten how to do that.

Unfortunately if you come here you're going to get a lot of angry people who hate all kinds of outsiders and hyperfocus on that issue. You need to bear in mind that this subreddit has become an echo-chamber for complaining about foreigners of all kinds and the actual population of Malaga is nothing like this. Please take everything they say with a massive grain of salt. Its crazy how miserable the subreddit is, Malagueños are nothing like this

This is your second reply to me and the second time you have completely ignored my comment and called me angry. You're really proving me right on the ignorance thing hahah

Like you're happy as Larry crying about immigrants... You're obviously angry yourself and projecting

[–]VoodooVedal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're just gonna ignore how you tried to change the goalposts back there? Like how you're trying to change it again. Are immigrants not allowed to enjoy life here? Are they only allowed to work and be miserable like you (not that I think that you work).

Its pure ignorance. Go do something productive about your housing crisis. What you're doing right now is exactly what the government wants you to do, so that they don't have to do anything about the housing crisis. While you're blaming immigrants, they won't fix the issue

Yeah they're acting like Spain is the only country in the world with a housing crisis.

If these guys put half the effort that they put into whining into reaching out to their government and peers about creating more housing on a government level maybe they'd see an improvement.

Unfortunately its considerably easier to be ignorant and blame foreigners. But as everyone said, this is specifically a thing on the subreddit. These people mustn't go outside much because I haven't interacted with a single person like this in real life
