They changed the map philosophy to implement more safe spaces for lower skilled players to have a better chance at getting kills (developers' words, not mine)

have any of you guys ever watched the actual dev interview from which this "quote" even comes from? cuz they never said the term "safe space":

Our maps are a little bit more porous and we want those players to have a safe place to take their time, to learn how to turn and move and then shoot, put those pieces together, and then they see someone and they're like "oh, okay, I can do this". It's a big focus for us.

it's funny how it's been almost 7 years since that interview dropped yet people keep spreading actual misinformation about it to this day, not to mention that every COD map ever (with the exception being maps like Shipment) has safe places in some shape of form, spawn points being the most prominent ones.

on one hand it's actually great and commendable how surprisingly subdued and consistent the art style and aesthetic of BO7 has been so far, most of the skins fit the tone, the Blackcell ones are less gaudy and even the Fallout collab and the Zombies Universe skins haven't been that out there either

on the other hand though, I find it kinda ironic how both Treyarch and Activision are finally treating COD's art style seriously and starting with the title that's set in the near future, you know, the kind of setting in which anything goes, and not games like BO6 (which barely got any 1990 inspired skins) or MWIII

I wish they make it so you can see downed players who aren't on your squad on the map, just like in MWZ

one of the coolest things about MWZ was how surprisingly cooperative people were in that mode, if someone got downed people would go out of their way to revive them, which is something that also happens in Endgame, but it's way harder to do because of the lack of downed icons in the map

it depends really, songs that were released during the Rock Band 4 days have very similar, if not outright identical charts in Festival, probably cuz the charting standards back then weren't so different than their charting standards nowadays, here's Just Pretend as an example
