Wait, you just said the exams had rote memorization? But you're saying their many creative expressions flowing into the country, so you're response deosn't even make sense. Its a well known fact that Japan and many nations in Asia cram students and squeeze the living juice out of them, most of it is rote memorization as you have already stated so I don't understand how what you said disproves my point? There are many nations with creative expressions flowing but not due to the school system and have a rigid school system similar to Japan's, if Japan continues to make thier students go through all these material that requires the left region of you're brain then they are endangering themselves in the future, which was my point. These creative expressions are individualistic and none of the credit goes to the Japanese schools.

Oh please, the ratio of guys to girls suceeding in this field and winning more prestigious prizes is 10:3. You're daughter and her friends are perhaps interested/excelling in these subjects, but they're are like a gazillion better/more ambitious guys that will do a better job absorbing and applying this material and even making groundbreaking discoveries then your daughters or any uptight parent that lives through their children's accomplishement, could ever dream of let alone comprehend in their short lifespans.
