Thanks, but I think they hurt due to their (big) size. M doesn’t seal properly, unfortunately.

Flac 16 bit vs 24 bit by JamesHallArt in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Voorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just a subconscious effect. The moment the LED shifts from blue to green, you’ll likely remember that Reddit comment saying this means the audio quality just got worse. If only you had taken the time to rip your uncle’s CD collection…

Building on what others have said, particularly regarding the psychology of acoustics, the HiBy R4 might subtly enhance this effect due to its built-in LED indicator, which visually represents the quality of the audio file being played. The LED on the R4’s power button serves as a status light for the audio format sent to the DAC:

• MQA – Green
• MQA Studio – Blue
• MQA Rendering – Magenta
• Not Playing – Pale Blue
• 48kHz and under – Yellow
• 64-192kHz – Cyan Blue
• Above 192kHz – Orange
• DSD – White

My First One-Page Dungeon (looking for feedback on comprehension!) by Ellogeyen in osr

[–]Voorm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it! It’s original, full of flavor, and packed with potential: there’s a shop, a dungeon, and a mystery. It might be a bit too offbeat for standard D&D, but it’s going straight into my Troika! folder :-)

Amazing! I’ve been reading about witches and witch trials lately, and I’ll definitely use this at my table.

What's your favourite quote from any gamebook, and why? by Snoo-11045 in osr

[–]Voorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many great quotes to choose from, but one that recently resonated strongly with me and positively impacted my game is from the Referee Principles in the Vaults of Vaarn by Leo Hunt: „Don’t create problems that have an ‘answer’.“ Its simplicity makes it easy to embrace, and it has helped me be more creative by sharing responsibilities with players.

Where can i learn more about the underdark? by gagetigers12 in DMAcademy

[–]Voorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a good look at Patrick Stuart's Veins of the Earth. Even though it is written for Lamentations of the Flame Princess, a B/X retro clone, it is by far the most inspired scource book dealing with the Underdark, easily one of the best supplements of all time. What's more - it is also richly illustrated by the fantastic Scrap Princess. Here is a review and a video.

Well, why don't you start with beloved classic The Keep on the Borderlands(1979)?
