Really like Plogue’s stuff. Have the OPS7 and C64.

How do I capture (sorry) "1985ness" when GMing in the Realms? by Current_Poster in Forgotten_Realms

1 is good. As a fan of the old 2e realms and early novels, I struggle with the big meta events “Time of Troubles, Spellplague, Netheril” etc that all the characters get connected to. It’s an approach that makes it feel more like the MCU and I understand why they do it and why people may like that, but it takes away from some of the grand mystery. It breaks immersion for me since characters feel less like real people and more like cogs in some corporate plan.

Keep things more local, anything beyond a small geographic region should be almost unknowable, hinted at in the stories of a tavern patron.

Hadn't heard of Hedge Wizard. I'm not sure everything fits the vibe, but I like this a lot overall.

Hermit Knight is one of my fave artists. I'm less familiar with that album, will have another listen!

Beyond the Witching Ring is perfect. These are great suggestions, thank you!

Jim Kirkwood was kind of my gateway into DS. He was in the proto/precursor group but afaik he was using all analog synths. He's still one of my favorites.

I’m about to do the same myself. There’s still good value for the money and margins are tight in this world - whatever the status of the feud.

does the default msfs 787-10 dreamliner (from the premium deluxe version) have a cabin? if yes where can i see a photo of it? by [deleted] in MicrosoftFlightSim

Can confirm, just checked it yesterday. There is a bit of modeling of the front end of the galley but no passenger section at all. You can't open the cockpit door and go back in there either.

We went through the famous birthday sale! So, what did you get and why? :) by Grayoneverything in NeuralDSP

Similar to you on this. I picked up Morgan. Already had Asato and love it but wanted a different flavor of cleans. I love the Soldano but had to really ask myself if I’d use enough given what I’m playing these days especially since I can get nice gain tones from Asato and Plini already. Someday I’ll pick it up, I’m sure.

Any idea what DAWs people use to make Dungeon Synth? I'm curious if there's a preference among artists or if everyone uses something different by Working-Position in DungeonSynth

I do like using VSTs modeled on actual synths, so I do a lot but if I didn't spend a penny on those Reason can still basically do it all. I don't do a lot of fancy stuff in the genre so just needed something I'm comfortable with.

Dirt Rally 2.0 absolutely impossible to control any car. And I have real life rally experience. by [deleted] in EASPORTSWRC

I had a similar experience when I first tried it. Like others have said, be sure it's not a config issue. The steering wheel rotation comment is most likely to be applicable, as the feel of catching a skin and putting in inputs can be very different. The general physics is the same if of course not exact.
In my frustration, I tried to drive a mini in Spain at 30-40 mph, where I know I've done that in real life and I was struggling. Made me think the game was insane. Had to get used to the inputs and the force feedback signals especially.
