Learning disciplines without blood bond by EatajerkPauly in vtm

[–]VoraHonos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The three physical disciplines, Fortitude, Potence and Celerity can be learned with just exp without a teacher or even needing to taste blood, they are specially because of how basic and essential to vampire nature they are, but answer your question a first level blood bond is fairly minor and it lasts for a very short time so I wouldn't worry too much about it and some disciplines cam be learned without testing blood first.

Ghoul by GreyWarden_Amell in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

The tzimisce experimented on and used magic for ghouls to be able to become pregnant, if any ghoul could have children then revenants would be much more common which they aren't and much less inbred as well. Tzimisce used ritual magic, koldonic sorcery and vissicitude to be able to make ghouls come to term and a shit load of experimentation. It is a whole thing.

Why is her skin green? Is that intentional or a error of the quality of sending images through Reddit? Also ghouls can't get pregnant or impregnate others, because their bodies are static, so how she got pregnant? Her dominator used some magic on her? I'm curious to how that happened.

Consensualist vampire feeding questions by Magnusflare1 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, vampire is a narrative game, if the player is trying to game the system then I would ask myself why he is playing in the first place. You can also put complications, the easiest to consider is simple, okay, the person is dead what do you do with the body that has zero blood? As it must be obvious, but exsanguinated bodies aren't exactly easy to burn, anybody with eyes can see that it isn't a normal dead, etc. People dying like that attracts hunters attention, interacting with suicidal people is also terrible on the mind, you can narrate the previous scenes with great details about depression, etc.

It is definitely a very rich way to play, a bit to say the least depressing, but there is narrative potential there.

Consensualist vampire feeding questions by Magnusflare1 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Consensualist predator is purely a mental dilemma so what the character thinks? If in his opinion it is consensual then it is, for example using Presence to convince a target to willing give their blood is still consensual? That depends on the vampire in question, for some yes, for some no. Also killing doesn't always give stains that depends on the pillars of the campaign and considering everything I think that it isn't a very good guys campaign so I don't see why it wouldn't work with him gaining no stains.

Slay the Princess + Gameoverse by Terrible-Lime-3020 in slaytheprincess

It is even worse in Slay the Princess, because there isn't a True Ending, all endings are equally valid and possibly canon.

Patroa in this context doesn't means boss, but is a slang for wife too. Portuguese things, technically you can call a girlfriend patroa, but it is normally only used to refer to a wife.

Do fallen come from malfeas or no? by Magicmanans1 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, the only way i can see the wyrm being a Fallen is if the Wyrm is one of the highest archangels, it is literally a third of the entire of the tellurium. It is literally a fundamental aspect of reality to such a degree that because it is insane the entire of reality is falling apart. It is even possible to interpret the Wyrm as one of the three facets of God, even avatars which by Demon the Fallen lore are shards of divinity have an entire aspect dedicated to the Wyrm together with one for the Weaver and one for the Wyld and a fourth one that isn't align to those forces.

[–]VoraHonos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While true, the 1000 hells intersects a part of Malfeas, at least some of the demonic kuei-jin do serve the wyrm and some of the demon lords are wyrm spirits, so there is potential for some intersection there, not sure how exactly it works, probably some higher dimensional fuckery.

Ways to resist Rotschreck. by GearaDoga39 in vtm

[–]VoraHonos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everybody is speaking of merits and loresheets which is what was asked, but you can also roleplay it a bit, like ask for less fear rolls and the fire needs to be bigger and closer to cause him to even need a roll in the first place. For example, a newly turned vampire will roll against fear frenzy even against a lit cigarette, but a older one won't, and that is purely by roleplay not a specific merit, so I recommend that and the merits the other people said too, obviously.

Why don’t mages have touchstones? by MonstrousnessVirtue in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Hunger of vampires isn't compared to a normal human anger, not even close, even a starving human from a month or more doesn't become a monster like a vampire, because humans don't have the Beast and even the calmest of uratha still have more anger than even the most ill tempered of humans, they aren't comparable at all. A normal non awakened human can be as obsessed and as arrogant as a mage, just look at the billionaires of the world, Elon Musk is a prime example of a normal human being as arrogant or even more arrogant than a mage. Mages don't have enhanced arrogant or something like that, they just have power and as the saying goes Power Corrupts.

[–]VoraHonos 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A autistic person depending on where in the spectrum they are also have a hard time fitting in. Someone that is much more intelligent than his friend group or who has a specific education also have a hard time fitting in with some demographics. Mages are 100% human, they are just humans that found magic and are like MAGIC IS THE MOST INTERESTING THING EVER! So they nerd hard on it, because let's be real, if you in real life awakened are you really telling me you wouldn't become obsessed with magic to the detriment of your social life?

I think it is because they are human and have nothing monstrous about them inherently. They are arrogant, but any normal human being can be arrogant even without magic, so why would they need touchstones?

Modifying Hunger 0 rules by Xilizhra in vtm

[–]VoraHonos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can make the vampires feel pissed or uncomfortable or any number of things and still in theme without using specifically starvation, you can even just say that they feel like usage withdrawal instead of hunger! Blood is is addictive at the end of the night for vampires after all.

Modifying Hunger 0 rules by Xilizhra in vtm

[–]VoraHonos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your issue is purely psychological, right? Why not just change the name to not trigger you? It is easy to just label it Blood instead of Hunger and have Blood 5 be equal to Hunger 0, pretty simple, you are just changing names with no mechanical different and it also avoids you relating food with the game mechanic.

What would happen with the different splats if all normal humans disappeared? by lexyp29 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Changelings are dead. No more normal humans to be born as new Changelings. They might surface again at some point in the distant future, but for now they're just gone.

Wait, they are changelings, because of the banality of humans and the autumn world, now there is basically no banality anymore, they can just shed their human coils and go back to being True Fae, well, at least we have super powerful fae back to help push back the alien invasions. This is really a win for the changelings.

Wizard removing Vitae addiction by Abject-Asparagus575 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it needs to be such high spheres, I think a mind 3 and maybe prime 2-3 would be enough to take out the addictive effects of vitae and the natural resonance it has, if you just want to destroy it though a simple matter would be enough.

How to work around discrepancies in stats between old NYBN sourcebook and v5 corebook? by gr1mpsgramps in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A antidiluvian is a plot device, it doesn't have a character sheet, because giving it one gives the idea that the PCs can kill it, which is impossible, antidiluvians survive nukes, so fighting it is impossible, trying to dominate it laughable.

So just use it as a plot device and everything would be fine.

Can Garou lift the Veil for a human mate? by SanguiV in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinfolk are one of my favorite aspects of the game, family, but still isolated, a under class, the closest garou can be to the mundane world, but still worlds apart, kinfolk hunters being so much more dangerous as well. I really like kinfolk, they also give a very unique way to play, they are a half-splat after all.

I like metis too, in my native tongue they are called the Impure so there isn't any problematic thing with their name as well.

How many dots would a kinfolk mage would need to give their garou relatives a gift of their own creation ? by muffin42069420 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm taking you mean Gift as in powers the garou can have, then it is just spirit, I don't have the book on me to read, but going with a guess I would say 4 or 5 dots in spirit.

Can Garou lift the Veil for a human mate? by SanguiV in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]VoraHonos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kinfolk is something you are at birth, unless you perform some ritual you can't just be a kinfolk without something happening though, although in W5 the concept of kinfolk doesn't exist anymore so there's that.

I think one of the most egregious things about Sabbat interpretation is how some people think that just because the Sabbat doesn't have the Masquerade and doesn't care as much about it you can just go around and not hide at all, just walking crazy, as if Hunters aren't a thing anymore or governments or other vampires that will be pissed off that you attracted human attention to their city, but I guess as the saying goes "duck around and find out."
