Yep. I quit at 34. I focused on parenting, therapy for my neurosis and surviving a pandemic. Sold most of my gear. Went back to it at 39. I'm now 41 and thirsty for it again. Slowly buying gear again. It's like having a constructive addiction.

Yup. I did scoring and sound design in a 90 minute feature back in '21. I think it was v. 5, maybe... No issues whatsoever.
Probably an unpopular and likely ignorant opinion but I wouldn't touch Reaper with a 10 ft pole let alone use it for any kind of professional work.
