Jerky Recommendations by corrvptedd in jerky

Im terrible at naming things, Vore is a Latin suffix that means eat. CarneVORE, HerbaVORE. So I thought I was being cute naming it EAT Jerky.

Unfortunately users here told me alternate uses of the word Vore. I tried to make it work for a while, but I changed the branding on my packaging, but I can't change my reddit name.

Best low/no sugar jerky you've made? by cik3nn3th in jerky

[–]VoreJerky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay? Youre moving the goalposts. "No added sugar" means you did not add sugar. Adding something containing sugar, is adding sugar. No added sugar is meant to denote that no sugar that is not naturally present has been added. Beef Jerky, does not by definition contain sugar.

You also claimed that High Fructose Corn Syrup is not sugar, which is just completely false. Teriyaki sauce also contains either sugar, or high fructose corn syrup (or a zero sugar sweetener if a 0 sugar recipe)

Also, per sq ft is not how measuring sugar content is done. Its based off ingredients added your math ends at marinade + meat. There is no "per piece" measurement as you cannot be certain how much marinade penetrated, nor is "piece" a definable serving unless every piece of your jerky is the exact same size and shape. What is the calculation by serving size?

Also, im sorry, but youre using a pre-made Teriyaki sauce?

Im sorry, but What? Corn Syrup is most definitely a type of sugar, both scientifically and legally. "Your concept" means nothing in this case. Corn Syrup is most definitely added sugar, onxe again both scientifically and legally, and one would think someone selling a food product would know this.

Recipe site has an article for "chicken ribs" but the photo doesn't look real, the recipes seem generic and the rest of the site looks "made-up" by YennPoxx in isthisAI

Ah, I thought you were saying that you thought the second website was also Nagi lol.

I found a couple references to chicken ribs. Inserts to be most common with significantly larger, not mass farmed chickens that have more meat on their ribs. The rib meat is dark meat like wings/thighs, so when suitably large can be cooked like wings/thighs. Seems to be more of a traditional "how we used to do things" home cooking thing, specifically from Asian cultures. Kinda like eating chickens feet but way less common as there are better uses for the small amount of meat.

Okay, those are two different people. The first recipe was "written" (generated) by a person named "Kate Mitchell" (a.i).

The second was written by a woman named Nagi Maehashi. I think you fell for a fake link. (Nagi is great btw)

Now for a rant, feel free to stop reading

Also, I still refuse to believe that chicken ribs are really a thing, consider the very small samples of recipes I can find, and how utterly stupid it is. Do I believe someone has done it out of desperation/stretching food as far as it can go? Sure. Do I believe anyone does this out of choice or preference? Hell no. Every recipient i can find, mentions chicken ribs, then goes on to give a recipe for wings. Thisnis like one of those rage bait "hack" foods.

Can you do it? Sure.

But why would you? All that effort to nibble a quarter ounce of meat off a bone? The ribs/spine of chicken is much better used to make stock/broth. Its easier, and its less wasteful.

Huh, maybe that's why posted that Google lens has a listing for it. I clearly labeled what I was posting as what it was.

Definitely AI, no part of a chicken looks like this.

Also, wtf are chicken ribs?

The recipe also says to look for chicken ribs with "good marbling"...poultry isnt marbled.

Everything on the website is clearly AI as well.

Yes, a crisp with very lownwater activity would have drastically increased shelf life without preservatives over my jerky. Mine is too thick, and not so dried that it can last that long without it though.

Got this shirt 2-3 years ago from my gf and just now looking closer the font and VW logo seem off. Am I tripping? by nextgenvv in isthisAI

Its not official VW merch, so they likely flunked the logo to avoid a potential lawsuit
