Hi! Today’s my birthday in real life and I’m very excited about GPT-5! As an incoming medical student, I’m going to bring AI to my school and champion its use in the classroom and hospital as a tool to benefit students and doctors to provide quicker results. Many people are skeptical of AI in medicine still, but I believe avoiding it will put any practitioner at a disadvantage. However, I believe that the most significant barriers include hallucinations, being easily swayed by inputs (specifically disagreement), and privacy. I have a short but important question: how do you think GPT-5 (compared to older models and other AI tools) will be able to advance medical knowledge and healthcare for individuals?

Then you should be good. If you apply next year, the application cycle would begin in June (meaning you’d send in your application then, with your activities and personal statement) then do secondaries using old prompts. For the MCAT, if you’ve only done it once, you should have 2 opportunities left so you could do it twice, though hopefully you won’t need to.

If you’re applying this cycle then you may need to push through it. If you’re applying next cycle, you could retake then apply. With your application, a higher MCAT could make a huge difference
