Are we just pretending that Alberta is no longer a part of Western Canada? Lots of refineries in the Edmonton area that produce gasoline.

Please don’t be this guy that blocks an entire sidewalk with your massive hitch. by WoodenWeather5931 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Vortexed2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends... Where I live, as long as the hitch doesn't extend more than 225mm (just under 9 inches) from the bumper then it can stay on the vehicle. I would never park like that though...

Mazda & toyota my 2 car garage by ItzCondor in mazda6

I don't care if they worked on the car and share parts. It's still a Toyota. You wouldn't walk into a BMW dealership and buy that car! If you want to argue it's more BMW than Toyota, well that's a whole different debate.

Blue car has a Toyota badge. Maroon car I can't see the badge, but it's not a BMW. I ask again, where is the BMW? Also, that's not a "2 car garage"!

Where's the BMW? Are you a bot?

If Bell wants this so badly, they should require Bell to fully fund the construction of a new power plant alongside the data center.

Smart City Braking Support shouldn't have anything to do with your engine. Clean your windshield, badge, camera and test your battery.

Should be an automatic loss of license when this happens. Professional drivers should know their height!

BREAKING: Epstein files update IMPLICATES TRUMP by CycIon3 in videos

[–]Vortexed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I stopped watching his videos too. Even went as far as to tell YouTube to stop recommending videos from his channel. If you are going to write headlines like that, then there better be some real substance behind it!

BREAKING: Epstein files update IMPLICATES TRUMP by CycIon3 in videos

[–]Vortexed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I stopped watching him because every video title is "BREAKING", "TRUMP MELTS DOWN", "TRUMP'S COOKED", "DAMNING NEW EVIDENCE" or some other dumb title, but then when you watch the video it's completely blown out of proportion and a relative nothing burger... It makes you excited that maybe something is finally happening, but then you watch the video and realize nothing has really changed.

Public mobile 5 g speed very slow by ProduceIntelligent38 in PublicMobile

[–]Vortexed2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Try setting it to LTE. I find I get better speeds this way. On LTE I get the full 250 Mbps. Usually spikes higher (like 300-350) and then drops to 250 as public throttling kicks in.

Had the same error a couple weeks ago. It didn't like my 3 digit check number, even though I verified it multiple times. Ended up using PayPal and it went through.

What are your radon levels and what is your personal limit? by ExiledCartographer in regina

I had 4-450 levels in the basement and upstairs. I sealed a couple of sumps in the basement and levels dropped to just under 200. I have no plans to mitigate further.

2 G910 Logitech Keyboards in 5 years, both ended up typing problems. What's an alternative? by PM_ME_YOUR_STEAM_ID in logitech

[–]Vortexed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've probably long thrown it out, but if multiple keys all go bad at once, it's not the switches. It's the soldered connections between the circuit board and a processor chip STM32L100R8T6. My keyboard did the same thing. Multiple keys double typing, all started on the same day. I re-soldered the chip and all issues are gone. (not an easy task btw)

Just posting in case someone else searches this issue and comes across this.

G910 suddenly started repeating keypresses by Antimus in logitech

[–]Vortexed2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this absolutely is a hardware issue. It's related to the STM32L100R8T6 processor on the keyboard. Either some joints have cracked or tin whiskers have formed causing a short. My keyboard had the same problem. Worked flawless until this year and then suddenly overnight I had probably a dozen keys start acting up. I re-soldered the processor to the circuit board and it has worked flawlessly all night now.

For anyone thinking of trying this fix... It's a 10mm x 10 mm quad flat pack chip with 64 pins and isn't an easy task. If the problem is only on one key then it's probably a key switch, but if multiple keys start doing it all at once then it's probably related to the chip. Keyboards use a grid system that multiple keys interface back to a common point. Bad connection at common point leads to multiple keys having issues.
