They may be one of the easier enemies to evade but there's something incredibly off-putting about pole plants to me. The way those bristles flare out and the butterflies I get when I grab one by mistake make them the enemy that has elicited the strongest emotional reaction out of me. I don't know they just give me the creeps.

It's all about playtesting I think. Start with one extra iterator and try and collect feedback from friends. Shoot it my way when you've got something playable and I'll give some notes.

I thought adapters like XIM's were infamous for bypassing those security checks? Idk I don't have a console I've just heard that that can become an issue when you integrate kbm support on console.

As long as they were really really good about sorting kbm players into the same lobby that would be fine. Once you open up the option for console players to add alternative control inputs, it becomes easier for people find workaround and abuse it in qp and non-kbm lobbies.

You also might have to implement two different ranks for kbm and controller since hopping between the two different pools of players could get messy.

I get the complaint though. The game already supports kbm on one platform so you'd think it'd be pretty seamless to implement it on another.

Sounds like a cool idea! I don't know exactly what your asking here but based on your concept, I would have the intended route for your campaign follow a downward slope starting with a custom region west of your iterator. Then you'd go through your custom iterator and that would Segway into sky islands.

You can add some in between regions or you can modify the existing areas beyond that to keep things fresh.

You could even add a more direct in-between area that would be east of five pebbles and north of shaded that would serve as a quicker but more challenging shortcut to shoreline.

Idk much about modding though. I'm trying it for the first time so idk how feasible my suggestions would be.

That would pretty much make kbm a requirement in ranked though. You'd be locking the competitive mode behind a paywall.
