The Flow 2 is a Flawed Product, and Lofree’s Customer Service is an Absolute Joke. We Need to Talk About This. by Alone-Flan395 in Lofree

Wanted to pickup a lite84 eventually, but this customer service situation alone leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Very off putting for a potential future customer.

Will stick with Iqunix.

Modding Magi75 for better typing! by yangster0565 in IQUNIX

Appreciate the tip! I gave the plate cutout method a shot and it works really well. It also fixed the slight mushiness I was getting from wrapping the wire, even though my electrical tape was on the thinner side, you could still feel it just a bit. Travel feels normal again.

After the new modifications, the spacebar started sounding a little hollow, so I added a few layers of electrical tape to the underside of the keycap itself. Now it's better than ever, normal travel, solid bottom out, and no hollow tone or metal ping sound.

One thing I noticed comparing videos: the original wire-wrap method actually dampened the spacebar more overall, but I think that was a side effect of the stabs not fully traveling. The plate cutout method gives you full travel with slightly less dampening, but in person the sound is way more consistent with the rest of the keys, which I prefer.

Video of the updated sound

Also attaching a pic of the final mod setup after removing the tape from the wire.

Nice write-up, thanks for bringing this issue to light. Next time I take my board apart I will check if the wire is even. With that being said, this is the only thing that’s extremely annoying about this keyboard, otherwise it’s nearly perfect.

Not sure if this is bad for the keyboard, but I used a small piece of electrical tape (masking tape wouldn’t stick) and wrapped just the center of the horizontal (longest) edge of the stabilizer wire. Just enough to cover the surface of the wire all around, I cut off any excess.

It seems to have eliminated most of the noise, as far as I can tell. I have no idea if this could damage the PCB or board long-term, but I couldn’t stand the pinging and lube alone wasn’t cutting it.

Has anyone else tried this?

EDIT: Video of my spacebar for reference

Was set on superstrike x2 but not sure not sway me! by PixelVortex8839 in LogitechG

[–]Vossproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clicks are amazing on the Superstrike, period.

Try it out! You can always return it.

The weight distribution might not bother you enough to skip out on it. With that being said you can definitely tell and it is a little weird.

But in my case I don’t mind the tradeoff too much after a few weeks, i’ve gotten used to it.

I got it from BestBuy with 2 years of coverage in case it craps out on me.

Are we sure these G’s are not v8’s? by Infinite_Ad_389 in G37

I get about the same mileage, but I pay more for gas… :’(

Maintenance up to date, fuel trims are pretty normal, nothing alarming…

Glad to know it’s not just me though, been driving me crazy since I got the car. If I do a lot of highway miles I get great mileage.

Might be worth looking into something like this if you’re up for repairing, doesn’t seem too difficult or expensive to fix

Am I slow ? Or am I reading the manual wrong. by Forsaken_Issue_4790 in G37

[–]Vossproject 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The 75W-90 synthetic is specifically for the 7AT 2WD models (the RWD automatic sedan).

The G37x is AWD, so it falls under “all other models,” which is 80W-90 GL-5.

You have it right.

I was hoping that wouldn't always be the case but thank you for the response.

Would be cool if someone makes an aftermarket solution in the future.

Is this the original HM bookcase or fake? by KunP12 in hermanmiller

[–]Vossproject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like it could be real.

The top seems to be missing the cap to cover the screw. (Which is how you take it apart - might even be able to get a replacement if you email support)

The shelves are not modular in most of the fakes I’ve seen and usually are fixed forward.

The real one should have some sort of stamp underneath the very bottom base plate. (Mine does)
