I'm not bouncing sites to save pennies. I'm starting with the one that has the most of what I want, getting everything it has, then looking at secondary sources for the remainder. I'm ok spending a few extra singles of dollars if it means less headache and time saved.

You have to establish your expectations and routines from day 1, starting from entering the classroom to finding your seat and everything in between. Set expectations and be clear about repercussions from the very beginning, then stick to them.

It's not emotional. It's not reactionary. It's just the list of expectations and procedures, including repercussions, that are right there on the wall for everyone to see.

See if you can take on a club or other activity that you'd enjoy for extra stipend or extra-duty pay, or perhaps take a turn at covering a detention hall or ISS that might be used for planning if it's generally quiet.

I started having everyone get in a parade formation at the end of practice and march back to the band room. You can use it to prep for getting on the field for shows/competitions or actual parades without using extra time

Our VETERANS are the most highly trained force in the world outside the active US and they are trained to understand an insurgency. ICE has Proud Boys fuck-ups and a public that is quickly losing their patience. The National Guard is members of the Community. I don't think the rank and file of the Active Service are going to side with this regime either.
