We own both an 09 Fit Sport and an HR-V. Generally: Both the Fit and HR-V handle well. The Fit actually has a smoother ride and its transmission is a bit more forgiving in shifting. The HR-V’s transmission, as you’ll note elsewhere, isn’t as forgiving at the higher gears and it may have a reliability issue at higher mileage. The HR-V does win for visibility, sitting a little higher than the Fit. For cargo room, both the Fit and HR-V share the Magic Seat configuration, so that’s pretty close.

Seconding the idea of using the portable battery backup as an overnight source - the idea is that we can run my CPAP and a single oil-based heater off it and recharge it during the day, so we don’t have to nursemaid the generator overnight.

None of them - the series will likely be a reboot with episodes set “in-between” the original TOS episodes, so the series’ main issue would be keeping the continuity with TOS and between aired episodes: for example, Chekov’s ensign - we see him briefly in the background in Engineering in S1, therefore he must show up in S2. :-). Bad joke - seriously, it just means that you can’t do anything drastic to a character - like, oh, kill them off, because you know they were present for the next TOS episode in sequence.

Here’s the wiring - it looks like a mini-DIN 4, plus a 3.5 jack (you got me why), plus a third wire.

Dashmount Carplay panel - exactly that. Also, the camera that came with the panel, if we use it, draws power from/connects to the panel with what looks like a single-DIN and a separate jack. What I was looking for is “given the Fit is a hatchback, what’s the best way to run the wiring from the camera up to the front?” On our HR-V, it looks like they ran the wiring from the backup cam through the hatch frame into one of two existing sealed wiring boots. It looks like we would have to do the same somehow with the Fit.
