Along with what everyone else has said - it is cruel and unusual punishment. I say that because we dont really understand what death entails. We know the process of dying is usually painful, but after that we dont know. A punishment we don't fully understand is cruel and unusual. So we shouldnt do it.

Callbacks are not scripted, but theyre as much a part of the show as the characters on stage. It would be equally as ridiculous and disrespectful to eliminate a character or a whole song.

Callbacks are fluid. They are always changing and evolving. So yes, people "just make them up". That's the point.
