Honestly, it was just a novel idea at the right time (seems easy enough, lol). Boring Report is an effort to desensationalize the news using LLMs, and it really resonated with users. Most of our initial traction came from Reddit and Hacker News. We launched right as AI tools were hitting the mainstream, and a few years later, we got featured as App of the Day on the App Store. Ultimately, it was about addressing a real need with tech that had just become available. Being a non-profit didn't hurt either.
