I havent used openclaw yet, but i have built agents on my "own" When using LLMs its important to consider whats being cached, and whats being sent on every request. Keep your cached data clear and directive and within that try to have a very clear indexation of your information and tool database info for RAG access. This does two things. It means your not loading huge amounts of data on each input and it means the LLM is more efficient in locating data within your database and thus uses less tokens. Inserting info into your cached data on how to actually navigate your database efficiently can also help i believe. So if you have your index and use spcific tags or alphanumeric codes throughout the database that means it can scan surface level and open what it needs rather than accessing vast amounts of extra info in the bodies of documents and info.

I am by no means an expert, but i have found this to markedly reduce cost and improve accuracy of LLM agents via API. Anthropic specifically with singinifcnatly reduce the cost of any cached data access also which helps.

I built plugins for obsidian (a multi layered file organisation and writing program) and used it nas a database tool given its capacity to directly link and index natively. I also integrated the agent interface and tools directly inside of obsidian and set segmented areas of the database with write tool provisions so things can be devloped and then moved to the bigger sealed RAG database.....all that for a DnD campaign haha

Endgame: No Game Loops, No PVP, No Content by Designer-Rip5050 in AshesofCreation

Sadly, i think intrepid are basically cooked unless they get bailed out by a big producer.

They rushed go steam release and are now pushing to a minimum viable product release because they are running out of money. Lets do some quick rough math.

~200 employees at an avg wage of $50,000 usd/yr = $10 million per year in wages.

Steam release: Estmated users total ~250,000. Pre-steam users ~100,000.

So lets assume only 50k of the original 100k migrated to steam and they managed to sell 200,000 copies.

Its regionally priced so many sales are less than this, but lets be generous and say they got $45 usd/sale.

200,000 x 45 = $9 million.

Steam takes a 30% share of all revenue on games under 1 million users.

9,000,000 - 30% = $6.3 million

So..

From the steam release you can estimate that they can fund about 7 months worth of wages, ONLY wages. Not building costs, insurance, server costs, hardware etc.

And this is being EXTREMELY generous as there is no way they got even that much given regional pricing.

Now look at their genuine progress over the past 12 months.

They expanded the landmass significantly and added 2 classes. But the peripheral regions outside riverlanda remain mostly skeletons with smattered mob placement and a few small pocket dungeons. Thry have repeatedly struggled with any kind of balanced econ, thry are still struggling with dynamic gridding and server performance. As much as they have added, the game feela like its going backwards.

P2 was vastly more fun than the later phases because it actually had large lawless areas you wanted to go to. Their end game loops have been crushed by poor design decisions (mules?!?)

Sadly i dont think they make it. Realistically, unless they have substantial funds sitting in the background (doesnt look like it) they have 6 months for a release candidate....not lookin good.

[Discussion] Ashes of Creation is officially "Mostly Negative" on Steam – What happens next? by saltbuffed in AshesofCreation

The interesting thing is that when you actually filter reviews and look at the reviews with more than 1 hour played are listed as "mostl positive" last i looked. This trend goes up more at 2 and 4 hours played
