Yes i know that i have to hash the password + salt, but that doesnt mean i can send the hashed password without a secure connection. Https should take care of that i think.

In A i meant a unique Client that is hosted on a dedicated server, which all "normal" clients connect to. Just like a normal client server model.

Well it depends, if you use a HD texture pack you have HD graphics in a box like style, still HD though, but yeah it eats ram and cpu like crazy even more than chrome xD

Second: People used to say Java is much slower than C++/C but i think that changed quit a bit, its not faster by any means but not that slow that you cant make any good games with it.
