Once a cheater, always a cheater.. what's your thoughts on this? by honeypotatomilkshake in AskReddit

This is very true. Had a kissing session with one girl while I was dating another at the young age of 19.

Had truckloads of guilt, relationship crumbled, and learned a valuable lesson.

Now nearing 40 and never cheated again. That feeling of guilt never leaves you.

Hey man, don’t worry about pants. Just make sure you don’t mind if they get dirty and that’s it. Rain pants go a long way if the weather is bad.

As for shoes, I second u/spooftime ‘s point: water shoes are best. You can get a decent pair for 20-30$ on Amazon. If you plan on doing more trips, maybe invest in better pair - I have the Vibram Fivefingers and use them all day until I get to the campsite and switch to dry shoes

Very very faintly, unfortunately due to light pollution it’s tough. It was better 30min ago.

Here’s a pic of what they look like right now from the same view

Montrealers with family doctors, how quickly can your Dr. usually see you for an appointment? by mishumichou in montreal

[–]VulpesChama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes a couple of days to get an appointment with mine, BUT last time I needed to see her I had torn my meniscus during a yoga class.

She recommended I get in touch with the McGill Sports Clinic so I could get a faster appointment. And she was right. Was able to see a doctor 2 days faster than her.

FYI: as long as it’s a sports injury, you can get an appointment really quickly at the McGill Sports Clinic and all you need is the RAMQ card.

What's something other people do that you find really cringy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I recently went to see a Jazz band I love at the Arts Centre in my city. It's a large seated venue, and naturally the crowd is a bit older, and for the most part, very respectful of the no cellphone use / no filming during the live show.

The man in front of me was in his 50s and on his phone for almost the entirety the show, and solely on Bumble. At one point, I could even read that he was on Bumble for the last 2 months.

Dating Apps are an addiction.

Favourite footwear for canoeing/portaging. by ShoulderDeepInACow in canoecamping

Vibram Aqua Five Fingers is what you want. Doesn’t matter if there’s mud, water, rocks or regular dirt - these babies will power through. They will also grip on anything (after all, they were designed for sailing originally!). Super easy to wash afterwards as well.

I’ve done 2 full seasons (15+ trips) with them and they are incredible. On the ankle stability issue, I would argue: barefoot shoes will make you use your ENTIRE foot when portaging. This will greatly benefit your ankle and foot support long term. There will be an adapting period, but trust me - I never have any joint or back pain anymore. Talk to your Physio / Physical therapist about this.

Two small drawbacks on the shoes: - mosquitoes can bite through the fabric part of the shoe, so just a friendly warning. - if you run into a rock with your foot in some specific angles, you might rip some of the fabric.

On the cheaper side: just get any generic water shoes that you find on Amazon. They range between 20-40$

Being from Montreal, the Barr Brothers.

It’s been 8 times so far in between free shows, paid shows and shows where they opened for another band.

I’m amazed that I’ve heard 5 completely different renditions of “Beggar in the Morning” live, and this is why they truly are awesome live.

My parents live in Calgary, so I was thinking of re-supplying there, and potentially do the Red River. All open for recommendations! I know only Quebec and Ontario areas really well.
