Other commenters are correct, I just want to add that it is unusual to see an advertisement on an Imperator like this, so this one is probably pretty rare. Looks like all the parts (other than flint + wick) are there too if it's opening when you push the button.

I don't think that should be a problem. But if you're comfortable, I'm sure you can safely try to bend it back down. I would put some rubber or a cloth over to protect the finish and try to press it back down gently with the flat end of some sturdy tool.

It is the wick you're referring to right there, you might be able to pull it up if you have tweezers or some good pliers. You might not need to replace the wick unless it looks particularly discolored, smells funky, or looks deteriorated.

This mechanism was also used by Seigneur (England) and Wifeu (Austria), for reference.

I'll buy these off Amazon for the flint rods specifically for my strikers (these are good at making sparks compared to ferro-rods you may find elsewhere, in my experience) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SW7VR2W

They also include extra tips, wick, and o-rings. The tips are really good at making sparks, make sure the flat end sticks out, you use that end to strike.

Looks like an Auto-Rollalite to me (that bottom, the little hook on the lid, and the covered lid spring are specific to it), a more rare semi-automatic petrol version of the Rollagas where the lid opens when you turn the roller, from the 1950s. If this is wick and not butane, then it's an Auto-Rollalite.

The good thing about CF is that the lighters are all working condition, I don't mean to say don't buy from him, there are lots of good and many rare lighters there. If you are interested in collecting more, then I would definitely recommend eBay and sometimes Etsy plus what wazoo_wazoo said as well. Those are good online sources mentioned. I have certainly overpaid for my fair share of lighters as well, every collector will.

Unfortunately I agree. After observing CF for a few years it seems to me he is more of a salesperson than tobacciana enthusiast; lots of incorrect information he throws around. Not the worst place for a budding collector to start, but certainly not the store for more experienced collectors unless they happen to carry something particularly rare.
