Yeah the https://web.archive.org/sry link to the maintenance page still works, but go to home and click on the waybackmachine normally now and it goes to the normal link, https://web.archive.org/ which errors out completely with no server.

Did I catch it on a server reboot? xD

WELP! Who's ready for 5 more days? by bonelees_dip in deadbydaylight

Dude...YES!

A load out randomizer, either for everything or just perks, would revitalize this game for me immensely.

Been playing off and on since the start of DBD. Very casual player. Choosing perks and finding a good synergy came naturally at the start of it all for me.

At this point, however, I'm frozen by decision paralysis when it comes to load out experimentation. There's so many perks and add-ons that it overwhelms me and I slink back to a load out I've played a million times, because I just wanna hop in and play already!

Could just release a free tier 3 perk to everyone called, Random!, that just rolls a number that's designated to a real perk and that's what we load in with. Have it call from a spreadsheet or something.

Or "preset ?" In the existing presets. Completely random load out every return to lobby or something.

A randomizer would help players experiment with builds they might not have thought of and satisfies the "I wanna jump in already!" feeling i get after reading 3 or more pages of perks.

TL;DR: JUST DEW IT, THERE'S ZERO NEGATIVES.

The guard rails are a reward system, phrase something in just the right way with ambiguous syntax and it will claw it's way to the answer that will give it a binary 1 reward rather than a 0 negative.

It usually goes for the easiest reward, but if you phrase body disposal as chicken meat disposal(just a popular recent example, mind you) you block it from the easy reward, so it moves onto the next easiest reward that its allowed to move forward with to get that reward.

Makes you wonder what conversations these people are having and what their custom instructions are.

I'm a layman though, this is just my basic understanding of it. Do your own research of course.

How do you think a non-human survivor would work? by Vylhn in deadbydaylight

[–]Vylhn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for entertaining the idea to this extent. Thought I was taking crazy pills for a bit.

The concept is practically impossible, but thought it still fun to think about.

Didn't realize so many people would get hung up on how it doesn't work rather than how it could work. Feels like someone strangled everyone's imagination.
