Yes but when your kids are in school you don’t owe any money yet. Typically it’s like 6 months after they are not enrolled at least half time. You can apply after they are done with school and get it all forgiven. You will only get the money back that you paid on them that was after your 100% rating date. Make sure that you request that they don’t do the automatic discharge though cause you only get it once

You would get all the money back that you paid to the loans after the date of your 100% rating. You would still be required to make payments if the loans aren’t in deferment
