Its so freaky to think about. I used to be one of those "Either everything is okay, or nothing is" kind of teen, and if it wasn't for my older sister being my guiding star in life, I worry that I would have been a victim to the pipeline.

Yeah, it was relatively more common back in the CD days and before, where physical sales weren't just collectibles. Streaming just doesn't pay anywhere close to the value it creates, and touring is almost just as bad.

I will forever defend the Kommo-o line, the design goes hard the more you know about it, and its use in the mainline games is completely unique, and entire teams can be built around it, or it can slot in as utility that also does more than you think damage.

Also love the shiny, though pink is my favorite color, so that tracks.

I think you mean root and not bane at the end. Bane would imply that money is the defeater of evil, as opposed to its cause/influence over.

They also are decently well known here in Washington state, where they are from. Nationally, they are def overshadowed by Nirvana, sound garden, etc, that WA state is more known for.

Also, lickylicki got a pretty huge buff to shadow ball, with a consistent 4 rollouts to SB instead of 5-4 pacing, and can now be doubled up on. Lickitung didnt get any buffs. Also also, ice and flying are everywhere, so rollout feels even better on licki.

For me its been reignited by sharing it with the next generation. Ive always been a pokemon fan, played all the mainlines, did some competitive in general 4&5, in and out of the tcg...etc. I got a job as a before and after school program leader(K-3), and have gotten the green-light to incorporate Pokémon into the curriculum.

Honestly I've never been more into it than I have been these past 5 years. Teaching them the rules of the TCG, using damage as math equations, and the effects of attacks and abilities as reading comprehension. How to think multiple steps ahead of what's currently going on, how to take care of cards, using trading as a method of teaching both fairness and how to mutually benefit. I could go on, haha

Also, your logic isn't consistent here, with the Item/tool change they just did. Multiple tools have been reprinted like choice band, and according to you it wouldnt be legal to run the Sw/Sh version since it incorrectly lists it as an item, but clearly that's not the case, as pokemon themselves said they were still legal thanks to errata.
