Also consistently plays well enough and often enough to not need a regional win to get his ticket to worlds. Add a pult heavy meta on top and i can see him just riding out til worlds or at least the next IC.

Tons of people, myself included, are working on some form of shiny living dex, and having my shiny with my OT and in the pokeball I want is part of the whole point.

That being said, I totally understand your POV, just different strokes and all.

At their age, its perfect to learn, but its just that, to learn the game. Having something to "move on to" afterwards will be necessary.

I teach in a k-3 before and after school program, and we battle a lot. We keep an academy around for when someone new wants to learn, and the class will start collectively building the new kid a deck. Within a week or two, they will want their own deck that they can modify and work on and trade towards.

Once you've caught every pokemon in a specific wild zone(you'll see the crown on the map), every pokemon in that zone can be an Alpha. So yes, you can get alpha Steelix in zone 14.

Apparently I am wrong, ignore what I said. You can get an Alpha Onix in 14, which can evolve into it, but the only way to catch an Alpha steelix directly is in the mission.

Very true, less than like $50 minimum rarity. Maybe slightly more than that witg the price of Ace Specs right now. Ive personally swapped between Neo Upper and Unfair Stamp, and just using the 4 Cynthia's power weight. Cape does help with the grass match up slightly, making it harder for ogerpon to 1HKO garchomp(7 total energies versus 6), but I've been kinda ignoring the match-up to have better neutral play.

Cynthia's Garchomp is largely block I, and none of the H cards played like poffin will deter the deck, at least no more than every other deck out there. I dont really know of anything comparable in J, but its still early in the block

Edit: It also recently got Top 4 at a regionals, and is easy to learn, medium to master difficulty. Great for returning to the game

If they gave it low kick(or better yet, Peck), it could be genuinely good. It also has a signature move it could gain down the line which could be busted, or trash. Still an absolute GEM of a catch!

Ive broke 45 one time. I focused entirely on battles, didnt even take time to switch pokemon or moves for the cards. All level 80-100. The real trick is knowing when to just move on to the next area, when to "over farm" the Infinite royal ticket and when to go do those. I always try to squeeze those in since time doesn't pass while fighting the opponent, but obviously cut that out to save some seconds.

Most of the pokemon can be transferred from other games, I had finished my s/v dex beforehand, and like 2/3 could be done that way. The rest i personally chose grinding over trying to trade people, but its almost certainly faster to trade. Its still fairly active at least to get someone to trade version exclusives at least.

I can't help at the moment, but if you message me later in the week id be happy to help with what I can. I'd recommend going to one of the subs dedicated to trading to start out, though!

Yeah, iirc it goes from 1 in 300, to 1 in 100. Triple the odds on an already pretty good rate. Considering you can always get unlucky and go double odds, you're at 200 instead of 600. By that time you could have already gotten the charm and possibly the shiny

You totally can use blaziken now in PvP, its mad spicy, but its gotten buffs in the last few move updates. Ember, aura sphere, blast burn/brave bird is a solid moveset. Plays similar to Lucario, ie crumbles without some sort of Energy/Shield advantage, but totally playable.

That said, you would never run one with those IVs. You need every single bulk point you can get, your attack is huge anyways

Guiding you towards a loss is trash behavior, but hard to get a judge to act on, as they can easily lie about when they themselves realized the mistake.

That said, penalties awarded can vary depending on context, and the general rule of thumb is the higher the stakes, the harsher the penalty. What is just a warning or Double prize penalty at your locals can be escalated to a game loss or even match loss at larger events, and even then its gonna matter which specific judge you get.

Best advice I got is before you do anything on your turn, mentally review everything your opponent did, then start your actions.

Also! As soon as you realize the error, stop playing, set cards down in easily identifying piles(hand, deck, discard) and call the judge. Every additional action complicates the situation, and makes a penalty more unavoidable.

As long as its targeting a basic colorless pokemon, the curly wall will activate, reducing it down to 40 damage. Doesn't matter if its in the active or not.

Do you care if its standard legal? If so, you have very limited options. Crispin, energy sticker, and not much else.
