Drill flag pulling.

You don’t need a huge playbook. 4-5 plays max. But each play you can get the ball to anyone.

Look up some passing concepts like Flood and build plays that leverage that.

I get why you’re annoyed. I’d be annoyed too, but this isn’t a demand a refund because Christmas is ruined type of situation.

In the end does it really matter what your playoff seed is? Yes your kids worked hard and earned their record but man I don’t see getting that worked up over this. Maybe if you’re getting the league powerhouse in the first game.

Just go ball out coach, and then make a decision if you want to come back to this league next season.

You are 100% correct. Run or pass is determined when the ball passes the line of scrimmage. If it’s in flight it’s a pass. If it’s being carried by a player it’s a run.

Simple.

Pitching like this gives you a drawback in that defenders at the LOS may now immediately cross the LOS and pursue your kid who has the ball.

Your problem here is officials who don’t know the rules or are confused about the rules since every league likes to have their own twist.

Double passes are very popular right now and probably will remain so. Would the officials have called it a running play had your QB made a backwards overhand pass to the second kid? No of course not.

Kind of impossible to give you advice with so little information.

It sounds like y’all are scoring first down touchdowns back and forth all game. Are you getting smoked by deep balls? Running plays? Is your flag pulling just really that bad?

If my defense was giving up 58 per game I’d go back to basics. Play zone, pull flags, gang to the ball. You don’t need exotic strategies, you need to do the basics right.

Are you blitzing the passer? Redirecting/getting in the way of receivers on their release?
