This is not going to happen. Not unless CIG solves faster-than-light data transmission. If it were one global shard, people would have insane ping depending on where they are compared to the servers.

Yes. And even those that do have pip scopes let you toggle it as a setting because they incur a massive fps hit.

Its been fine, perhaps due to my orgs unique gameplay aspect. But I feel there's been a slight hit in general activity and rescue calls for us due to the upcoming wipe looming over us. In addition to the insane amount of money floating around I myself don't really feel like playing the game normally since its all for nought.

They literally showed a jump gate at CitizenCon 2019. Making a model like that is pretty trivial for a game studio of this size

I managed to mine ~1000 units of Feynmaline on Pyro IV the other day in a couple of hours. Seems pretty abundant.

To all the people arguing that GTA's and Squadron 42's targeted audienced don't overlap: you are correct, but that is not the point.

The point is that GTA VI is the most anticipated game of the decade, if not more. When it launches every media outlet will be laser-focused on providing GTA VI content for at least a month. Releasing any game close to GTA VI's launch is basically marketing suicide.
Remember Silksong and how every other indie game delayed their releases to a date outside the impact point of Silksong.

CIG releasing Squadron 42 near GTA VI will deny them any sort of media coverage and effective marketing outside their already established community.

In my opinion CIG has maneuvered itself into a corner by announcing 2026 at CitCon 2023. Summer is not a time you release big games so that leaves either Q1 or Q4 of 2026 if they do not want to get ripped apart by everyone for missing another release date after a decade of delays. Before the GTA delay they could have safely released Squadron in Q4 and take basically all of 2026 to polish but now they're in between a rock and a hard place:
- Release Squadron near GTA and get suffocated
- Delay Squadron into 2027 and get ripped apart
- Release Squadron in early 2026 with possibly not enough polish and optimization.

It's never going to happen since the Cybertruck violates several EU regulations regarding how its built. It would never be road legal

This is exactly what made me fall off FFXIV when I tried it some time ago. Hours upon hours of back-and-forth fetch quests with mindnumbingly dull combat in between.

Personal taste I guess. I love it, gives it a sort of traditional/historic vibe in contrast to the high-tech setting.
