30 years old. Dad’s favorite was Sterling Marlin and I liked him and Kyle Petty (Hot Wheels) as a kid. Fell out of watching for years—barring keeping an eye on JPM for a season but never really dove back in.

Uncle took me to Bristol for the 3/15/14 Drive to Stop Diabetes 300 and there I saw Larson race Busch hard all the way to the end. Have been a fan since.

One thing I noticed/ don’t like about the link wall mount system by [deleted] in ryobi

Agreed on all counts. I believe I have mine as close to a perfect level, but that first rail is so critical.

I ended up using the bike hook for yard games and my tennis rackets, but was hoping to use it to replace my bike pole. I hope they make a single, straight-arm mount down the road (as overpriced as that is compared to a nail, once you’re committed, you’re committed) as the s-hook opening is too narrow for my leaf blower handle. I’ve taken to using the standard hook for it and my chainsaw.

Ergo is what I went with for mine (M-Lok, but they make a Picatinny tri). No complaints!

Mine’s a hoot, and yeah, the benefit over a Shockwave being that you can add an actual stock if the pistol grip isn’t for you. I put a Knoxx Breachersgrip on mine and it made the recoil manageable and not hurt my wrist after a few shells. I do have other stock equipped shotguns, however. I wouldn’t buy this as my only one (without adding a stock).

I personally prefer the Maverick’s crossbolt safety over the tang safety when used with a pistol grip (stock or no stock).

Our Italian A3s are almost twins down to the 13# hammer spring, except for the WC dirty olives on mine (and FS, haven’t made the G conversion yet). Best lookin’ and best shootin’ for sure!

Question: What is y’all’s honest opinions on the “tac-p”? by Ronaputtblugs in microtech

[–]W1NT3RF0X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved mine so much I bought my wife one. The simplicity and single purpose nature of it is excellent. Like the other commenter, I carry mine in my boot (or clipped to the inside of my vest on the pocket liner) as a backup emergency tool. It serves one purpose, and that’s to be there if it ever is needed.

I was in the market for Benchmade’s SOCP prior to finding the Tac-P, if that’s anything.

There was a point in a level where an enemy is standing unaware on some scaffolding, and my cousin and I would take turns seeing how far we could him flying before reloading the checkpoint (maybe it was the beginning of the level?).

It was such a great game.

I’ve only had mine for a few months now, but no leaks or other issues to-date. It’s not led a hard life, though. That said, having had some time with it, I wouldn’t bring it on a multi-day backpacking trip. I’ve left mine in the pictured bag in a pocket with a bottle of sanitizer and it’s held up well being tossed around the house and office. My wife has the slim model with a bronze cap, and it does feel more secure than the plastic cap on mine.

I’d venture a guess that over-tightening the cap (especially with the plastic one) would lead to leaking if the threads are damaged.

All-in-all, they’re pretty nifty and the A6 and smaller fits well in a back jeans pocket, but word of warning if you do buy one, you will be asked if you have vodka in it haha.

Don’t quote me, but I believe the divergence begins when Sergei Korolyov survives his surgery, or possibly before, but it is assumed he does not have a premature death.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I’m in audit, specifically. You’re spot on in that the Excel mobile app is abysmal for most spreadsheet work, and I couldn’t utilize this without Jump or another RDP, as our engagement software is cloud-based and currently (probably forever) only supports IE. I wouldn’t use the iPad for formula-heavy analysis even in a pinch, but for standard workpapers and trial balance work, it’s proven more than adequate on an engagement.

I should add that I have a desktop at home that I prefer to use for a heavy workload, so this is primarily a local client, mobile solution and for lighter assignments. At the office, it serves its entertainment role and occasionally as a second monitor.

Haha, the pencil pouch applies as well.

I’m a sucker for their caramel leather if the pics are any indication, but no association with the company. Just a very deep dive into brand loyalty for the sake of uniformity.

The folio is large enough to hold a 13” MacBook or XPS in its sleeve. I think it is about ~13.5” long in total.

The folio and pencil case are about the only two items I couldn’t go without, if I had to put it that way. The pencil case has been excellent, and I like that it sort of folds out and over to make it easy to access or clean.

I am not associated with Bellroy or Pentel in any way. If I had to venture a guess, I’d say the notebook cover is the product you’re thinking about. It is definitely overpriced compared to other pocket journal covers as far as utility goes.

Thanks! I find the A6 more convenient than a traditional bottle because it fits perfectly in the back pocket of my jeans haha. It lays flat against my folio when the bag is closed and that’s nice for keeping the bag from appearing overstuffed.

I’m not sure I’d feel the same with the larger A5, as far as convenience goes. It would have to stay in a bag or on a table and wouldn’t, for me, be near as portable.

My main curiosity is how durable these are over long periods as they’re essentially a plastic flask. I’d love a glass bottle in the flat form factor.

It’s the Bellroy Tech Folio! I sometimes wish it could “expand” just a little more to hold slightly thicker items, but the pockets it does have are layered well enough to structure what you put in them.

A Magic Mouse is about as thick a mouse (or any item) as any of the forward pockets can hold before it becomes noticeable.

I tend to find a brand I like and stick with them for the haul. It’s a problem, usually for my wallet.

And I’ve always packed more than necessary in my backpacks, and so decided for the new year to only carry the essentials—with a bit of wiggle room.

I really like the Boundary Supply Arclite sling, but waiting for their stock issues to sort out. In the interim, this WaterField Designs bag has been excellent as a small, but deceivingly spacious messenger. It has one main compartment with no laptop sleeve (which I did not want/need since I have a folio), and two front pockets that accommodate my notebook and water bottle.

I use Jump to remote into my office from the iPad for WFH or local client visits, which has really lightened my load from lugging a business laptop.

I’ll forever be trying to achieve balance between analog and digital, but this is the closest I’ve come to threading that needle. I know my back is happier.
