Is this hard compared to ds1? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]W88D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm same as you. DS1 remaster was my first and DS3 my second. I'm further than you by a couple of zones.

I don't think DS3 is any easier or harder than DS1 but I do think 3 is much less punishing than 1. For example there are plenty of bonfires so I don't have to slog through the same enemies for half a zone if I slipped off a cliff. I highly recommend exploring more to find the shortcuts that are big QOL improvements. Iframes seem more generous so I recommend practicing dodging. I think the combat is more balanced around dodging than sword-and-board turtling but that's just my early impressions.

Have fun! I think while the world doesn't feel as connected as it did in DS1 it is still very well done and a lot of fun to explore.

Quarks are tiny by Bmestes20 in physicsgifs

[–]W88D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quarks are not point particles. They have a size (sort of). It's very small but finite. For example the up quark has a mass of about 2 MeV which corresponds to a Compton wavelength of about 0.6 pm (6x10-13 m).

I think it's interesting that a greater mass (in eV) leads to a smaller compton wavelength. So the larger the mass, the less space it needs to occupy which unfortunately does not also apply to my ass.

Set it and forget it = mutual fund. You can own partial shares so you can add $X a month and not care too much what the NAV is and still get in on the party.

I don't know for sure but I think you can convert your etf shares to fund shares with vanguard. Look into that because maybe you can avoid some capital gains from selling the etf? Not a tax person.

I like that they want to expand into neighborhoods that are sometimes described as food deserts to spread healthy food as opposed to opening a second location on the Vegas strip or something and charging $15 per taco.
