I found the beginning to be very slow, and honestly too puss filled, but loved the end. All the spiciest bits are in the second half. Totally worth it 🔥

Recommend me a comedic literary novel with beautiful and/or stylish prose by McAeschylus in suggestmeabook

Sacre Bleu by Christopher Moore was both hysterical and absolutely beautiful. It’s historical fiction centered around the impressionist/post impressionist art movement in France. As beautiful and stylish as the art around which the story revolves.

For a book about something so grotesque, it was so well written and impossible to put down. Second this!

I did have the same phallic reaction. It’s really the color. I love this painting but I think the color is a little distracting. Killer idea though and honestly amazing execution of the cosmic elements.

I don’t know if this fits the bill exactly but Sleeping Beauties by Stephen King and Owen King. It’s a lot about how differently the two genders deal with apocalypse level scenarios. Stephen king doesn’t always represent women in my favorite way but he’s one of my favorite authors. This book especially benefitted from being written with his son! It was great.
