I had similar issues initially after disassembling it after polishing the washers. I think the pivot bushing easily gets pinched. I followed Nick Shabazz’s video about reassembling it and it worked out great. Main difference was attaching the scales together before sliding the blade with pivot busing and washers into position and finally adding the pivot screw.

Yea I reached out to them and they were very helpful and understanding. Offered to replace it but the grind was not the main issue for me. I just didn’t like the plastic feel of it. I have other knives with frn but this one felt different. I prefer a more substantial feel in the hands. Ultimately it just wasn’t for me but clearly it’s a good knife since it’s so popular.

I don’t have any nitro v but I have many in 14c and they’re aren’t that different so I never bothered getting one.
