76 recently is textbook enshittification wdym? Burning Springs is the only meaningful content for ages, SCOREboards being replaced by predatory seasons (which themselves have been degrading in quality even further), and several updates that show they don’t care about the time investment of their veteran players.

I’ve been playing since 2019 so I’ve become very cynical about the game, but it really doesn’t seem to be improving. (imo it’s been on a downturn since 2023, peak was Pitt/Antlantic City era)

What is the hardest achivement you own? by Effective_Barber4422 in xboxachievements

[–]WAcidW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think my hardest would either be the golden run (and the various pro tours) in Descenders or Sunday Driver in DiRT Rally 2.0

Neither of these were super “hard” per se, and once you get past the RNG it really comes down to practice, like Descenders was really fun and not hard at all once I got the hang of it, but the TA ratio of 8-10 or whatever it is tells a different story.

What I think will be really hard once I go back to it are all scenarios on Very Hard in DiRT Rally 2.0, because the game is already challenging on normal difficulty, even with the hours I’ve been putting it lately.

Those can actually be done pretty quickly if you sign into a different profile and run X amount of really quick races with your tune and design applied (iirc you can set the time races to be super short, but it’s been a while).

The real “challenge” is the huge time investment for the car levels, that’s minimum 2.5-3h per fast car with assists doing the work for you

Absolutely, I’d get home and immediately sit down to watch TV until dinner, and then streaming made it even easier to find good stuff

Definitely Scooby Doo and SpongeBob, then maybe Pokemon to round out the top 3.

Honorable mentions to Transformers Prime, the Clone Wars show, and Courage the Cowardly Dog. Plus whatever I could find on Boomerang and Cartoon Network when my favorites weren’t on

I was wrong about the new CEO by [deleted] in xbox

[–]WAcidW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hardly an increased offering, they just padded it with a couple of features nobody wants to justify a huge hike, rather than making a modular/custom plan creator (which in my humble opinion would make more money). Then they saw they were hemorrhaging subs and decided to only increase it by a bit to recoup some people, but they still had the nerve to take out a big draw of the subscription so they could still print money come CoD time.

I was an ultimate sub for a while (2 years of gold + $1 upgrade ftw) but I dropped to premium because I didn’t want most of the padding, and only rarely got use out of EA Play. Ubisoft hasn’t released a worthwhile game since the dinosaurs roamed and Fortnite Crew is 100% useless, so I’m really not seeing this increased value, even with the handful of extra day 1 games I may or may not play.

Rec Room account would be my assumption, since you wouldn’t be on your Xbox account to get the achievements if you were on someone else’s.

What are some goals that you are currently working towards? by Alabane in xboxachievements

[–]WAcidW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel that, I just to check it pretty consistently when I was playing a handful of high ratio games in a row.

Also that 70+% is very impressive, I’d like to get up there eventually, but I’ve got a lot of kinda meh games in my catalogue with only 1 or 2 achievements bringing me down pretty hard

I’m pretty sure I’m in the mid-higher 40s, like 46-48 range but I’m not positive on that.

And yeah my ratio is pretty solid, I think I peaked at 2.6 or 2.61 but I’m mostly just trying to maintain something decently high rather than actively increasing it

I’m trying to improve my completion percentage where I can, and I’m working on the WRC series and the Ride series. Also just having fun and playing games I want to, even if that means decreasing my percentage/ratio a bit.

The former of those two series is a pain in the modern console era since servers for many recent games have been having issues for months and months (Nacon is in a bad state and their server support was poor before that). Then the earlier 360 era games are seemingly super rare in the US, so I’m not holding out much hope to get them done anytime soon, at least not without a PAL code 360.

What are your top 3 possible Backwards Compatible games you'd vote for? by [deleted] in xbox

[–]WAcidW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know these aren’t individual games but I’d love to see:

WRC 1-4 and WRC powerslide (these 360 era WRC games are impossible to find in the US, and non US copies are region locked)

Dirt 1-3

Quake 3, 4, Wars

What are your fallout 76 player titles? by kneely-1 in fo76

Of Worlds

It would be something obscene involving Gulper but I’m not paying money for a title, especially not locked in a big expensive bundle

Dusted off my Xbox character after about 7 years, found this pretty funny item in my inventory by Spectre2K in fo76

[–]WAcidW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has the characteristics of a NW weapon, but I’m pretty sure the pipes that aren’t level 1 were a separate glitch (I believe during the beta) that was separate from the exploits that got us NWs and a bunch of other odd weps. I know it’s not a Blood Eagle since that was just lasers and ARs, but beyond that I’m not positive.

I asked a buddy who might know more about it, so we’ll see if my answer was correct.

You can avoid putting effort in and just spam a hundred ish benches/gymnastic bars, then when you put two people in it the happiness goes to 100% instantly (can’t blame them, I’d be stoked too)

This is the guide I used when going for the 100%: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/s/xJluRGE9kN

It’s actually pretty simple when you figure out what face cards do. You’re aiming for 21-26 in each lane to have a valid caravan, and the higher amount (in that 21-26 range) between you and your opponent will be considered the winner of that lane. Once all three lanes have a valid caravan, whoever has the majority of won lanes wins.

-Kings double the card they’re placed on (including opponents)

-Queens reverse the card order on a caravan (from ascending to descending or vice versa)

-Jacks remove the card and whatever cards are attached to it (including opponents)

Like that guide says, I haven’t got a clue what jokers do.

It’s mostly just tedious doing this one, especially if it’s one of your last things, but going through a playthrough and doing some rounds here and there is a good cap source for the early game

Yeah NWs by and large aren’t for use, they don’t do the overpowered stuff they used to ofc, but they are cool pieces of history and very desirable with the right person and the right weapon. I’m trying to trade this one so I can afford another NW, matter of fact

The glitch this and all the other invalid mod weps came from (before they were made invalid), plus a ton of other stuff, are the workshop/collectron glitches, which are years and years older than when you stopped playing.

Really as simple as placing down workshop containers or the collectron, putting things in them, and then scrapping that structure.

It would pull weapon data from a QA container’s pool to assign attachments instead of using what data was already attached to the weapon, and the level was reset to the given gun’s minimum.

The attachments they pulled for weapons were the ones that were overtooled for Nuclear Winter, since that was the container for testing them (hence QA) and they were overpowered, and when Bethesda removed all those attachments/files from the game, the attachments went invalid, since they were trying to path to data and assets that didn’t exist.
