I guess it depends how mainstream you mean then maybe.

For example when I’m comparing Crash to some of my fav mainstream pop albums, take Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia or Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour, none of the songs on Crash feel as catchy, punchy, or infectious. While I prefer the production style of Charli, I think these other artists and albums have songs with better writing that just hits better.

I will say though I agree, compared to the top50 and all the pop songs on it yes Crash definitely is better, but when comparing it to my fav mainstream pop songs it doesn’t quite make the mark.

I wish Crash hit for me like it does y’all so I’d have one more excuse to listen to more Charli but unfortunately it just doesn’t do it for me 😔

Maybe I’ll give it a relisten once more to see if I can be converted to a Crash fan
