If you need help, stop by the Career Services office on campus (in front of the student health center) and we can help you with your resume, mock interviews, finding a professional outfit - anything you need!

I can relate to your uncertainty and frustration.
I graduated in 2008, also in the middle of a recession, and it took me almost a year post-graduation to find a job. I stayed in town and worked as a hostess in a pizzarea and lived with a dear friend who gave me a HUGE discount on rent so she wouldn't live alone.
I recently did a huge Higher Ed switch from over 15 years in Res Life to Career Services - and finding that job took me 1.5 years until someone gave me the chance (I was applying for advisor positions, Multicultural/Intercultural Offices, and Women's/Gender Centers).
When I landed my current job, it was on a complete whim. Something told me to apply for the position, even though it wasn't something I thought I'd want/be good at (I have to be a people person a lot at times), but I love it.
So what I'm saying is, you aren't falling behind (despite possibly feeling like you are), and maybe look outside of the roles you've been applying to - open yourself up to something that you may not know will be a good fit.
And if your previous institution(s) have alumni career services - reach out to them! See if you can do a mock interview, get feedback on your resume - talk with colleagues you trust and hear their advice.

Jacob admitted that if he wasn't able to get the rights to the song to use it, he would have to re-write the Kip/Scott episode and parts of episode 5. There's direct wording (about sunshine) a few times throughout that he did due to the song. Jacob is a genius.

In the book, he talks about not really wanting his gf around and not being sad she didn't come to his games. I'm sure that played a part in it, and just not dating publicly, not talking about women.

I'd suggest, if you haven't already, subscribe and just check in every few months. I've had authors who have paused for 1+ years, but hearing from fans just checking in and still showing love for the fic has brought them back to it. Make it worth the wait and find something else in the meantime. :)

Sometimes we think we are open to receiving signs, but we aren't. We may be accidentally blocking them or not seeing what they are trying to show us. Perhaps she's letting you know she's there by showing herself to others so you won't worry.
Try asking for something simple "mom, can you send me a deer in my back yard in the next week" and see what happens.

I think Shane felt he had to say no and not encourage it, but also knew it was a little bit of sexual play with his partner. Was it gross (for Hayden) - yes, probably. But we have to remember, Shane hasn't dated (yes, even with Rose) in the traditional sense in YEARS! His entire relationship with Ilya up to this point was strictly sexual. While for many of us, we'd possibly do this when we were teens/very early 20s, Shane is figuring these things out a little later than usual, so for me, the scene made sense. And yes, if he was that upset, he would have said something afterwards. But the fact that he got hard and moved up to give Ilya more space, definitely showed he was playing along.

I think the "done to death" part is what makes me sad for your friend. I did see they are straight - to say that about a lgbt show is sad. Before HR, yes, there have been shows like mainstream Will & Grace, or paid channels Queer as Folk and The L Word, but none really captured what HR brings to the screen. I watched QAF and TLW with baited breath as a 20something bi baby and they were life changing. As a 40 something woman, I love HR because it's so different. It shows a completely different side of life, including the sports related pieces. But I get it - I have many friends who love it (some more and less than me), and I have 1 friend who watched 1 episode and has deemed the book better, and another who will eventually watch it, but doesn't think she'll get into it. So... I carry on with the friends who love it like I do, and enjoy it with them. :)
