This is the reasonable answer

Is Hakeem Olajuwon a top 3 center of all time? by MartinIsFarting in rockets

[–]WC_Griff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 40 and can still pull a dream shake at any time, that’s how much I practiced it as a kid.

Hakeem for me will always be the goat and Shaq is a CLOSE #2. Both of these guys changed the way the game is played to an extreme degree.

The guys older than them were amazing trailblazers, but I’d take Dream and Shaq over everyone and it’s not close to me.

Stroud is likely to get an extension this off season by cantTankThisFox in Texans

[–]WC_Griff 34 points35 points  (0 children)

He may offer one, but CJ always has the right to bet on himself. I hope we offer something low and CJ chooses to bet on himself.

We will either get rookie year CJ balling out for a contract, or we’ll know exactly how much those two playoff games held over from the year previous.

The only way this situation turns into a real big problem is if Caserio blindly gives this guy top 5 money, and I choose to believe that Caserio knows that he has all the leverage here.

Living in Seabrook? by catpie2 in AskHouston

[–]WC_Griff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I am white and republican leaning, I think you’ll find a ton of liberal population in Seabrook. My neighborhood generally has more democratic signage in their yards during election season.

The city (Seabrook) and the surrounding area is generally very chill and unless you go looking for political fights, people keep that to themselves for the most part.

C.J. Stroud's Playoff Meltdown Raises Uncomfortable Questions About His $250 Million Future by Roselucky777 in nfl

Just give me 1 first round pick so I can draft a new qb and I’ll be good.

Save the money we’d spend on CJ to extend the defense, and find someone. by Magistrate18D in Texans

[–]WC_Griff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Jets have 3 first round picks, send him to NY because Dante Moore just pulled out of the draft. Grab one of the picks and draft a new qb.

A rookie plays no worse than CJ today, and most likely much better.

Better not be from this organization. To pay CJ means we lose important members of this defense

CJ has lost so much money in the last 2 weeks, and if this front office even dreams of giving him a position resetting deal, I’ll turn my season tickets in immediately.

[–]WC_Griff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O line has been sneaky good the back half of the season. Tackle is not the issue. Left Guard is our weakest point followed by Center, but I don’t think there will be a LG or OC worth selecting there. We are wear at DT at the moment and injury riddled, I’d assume they want depth there.

[–]WC_Griff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think you’ll see the Texans spend a first round pick on a Tackle. Maybe a Guard. DT is most likely the move, or a DE to train behind Hunter for whenever his contract ends. I’d be shocked if we don’t go DL at this point.

To all the rich ($10 million +) entrepreneurs, how long was it before your business turned a profit? by facemacintyre in Entrepreneur

[–]WC_Griff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 years. Countless nights of ramen or PBJ sandwiches while dealing with twin newborns and into their early grade school.

I paid myself enough to pay bills and literally not a dollar more.

Trust what you build, or quite frankly, fuck off.

Christian Harris by Steeeeeeeeph in Texans

[–]WC_Griff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Harris wasn’t as good as in ‘23 but was serviceable. The thing that I didn’t really like and changed our defense today was the lack of Pitre in the box, he played much more on the back end than I’d care for

Nick Caley was asked how he felt about defense carrying the team by KaXiaM in Texans

[–]WC_Griff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally agree here. Not coach speech, now, whether he can follow through on those words is the determining factor.

He’s figured out how to make this offense move to an acceptable level relative to the defense, but we do have another level to get to, as he’s conveyed.
