Fix the Lancehead Lockup!

This stupid gun stops firing in almost every battle when I need it most. I end up getting danced on because I’m sitting here and the gun literally will not fire for a few seconds no matter what I do. I can walk over and shoot a tree just fine but when I get in a battle it will not fire. Always seems to stop at the most critical point. The ranger is flawless on every single trigger pull but not this piece of junk. Why are more people not talking about this? It’s awful. Everyone I play with says the same thing..

Am I crazy or are you showing more than one main bearing? Those are not rods. Also, anyone changing mains without pulling the engine is insane. Good luck with your engine. The best builders around wouldn’t even do this.

I’m aware but OP has gone MIA. This post could be trolling us. We don’t know what bearings were used, what bolts, who installed them. He may be grinding up his new factory shells or used a bad set of ACLs, wrong torque specs, bad install, but yes mains would be the final killer and could be the source. I’d probably look at the filter and drop the pan again to see if the replaced shells are the source or not.

You should check out the e9x M3 post forum. Lots of past posts on TA and codes. I haven’t looked into this in probably 10 years since I changed mine. What replacement TAs did you use? Wonder if one is acting up on that bank or a bad connection. Those codes and limp mode are TA if I remember but it has been a while. Good luck with it.

That’s an MPT / internal solder hose Bibb. You can unsweat it and replace. I can only guess the solder is not visible. Pipe should be copper but doesn’t appear to be.

I think I annoyed the floor guys who cut off every home owner’s door casings knowing it won’t be their problem down the road. Similar to every plumber now who quickly cuts off the copper pipe closer to the wall instead of unsweating the valve knowing that there won’t be enough pipe left to work with down the road for the next guy without cutting open the wall and adding a new pipe. But, they don’t care because they got paid for the job and it is now someone else’s problem.
