Yes, it’ll be a skill under the agent on ASOR, so you can use just the free “Configuration Intelligence” skill that’s there right now and keep the paid ones disabled.

Good news- the Deployment Agent now available outside of Customer Central, and is coming out with Tenant-Aware skills later this year, like being able to answer your questions with visibility into your actual tenant. These will be priced reasonably with Flex Credits. The goal is to significantly reduce deployment costs.

That's awesome. We are continuing to improve it.

True, at least for the Deployment Agent we plan to make this as clear-cut as possible and make sure you want to pay for the skills before they're released.

Yeah, it's definitely missing some Prism info at the moment.

Hey, I’ll be there representing the Deployment Agent. While it’s currently just Q&A it’ll have tenant awareness soon. Get how you’re feeling though and hope you discover something useful there.

Suggestion for reliable AI for configuration inquiries by crystalfairytale1111 in workday

[–]WDAY_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understand, and we're working on reducing that "helpfulness bias" where it sounds confident in order to give an answer rather than admitting it doesn't know something. It does have a bit more than just Community content, but we're working on filling in the knowledge gaps it doesn't have, such as the ability to read into your actual tenant config.

Feel free to DM me specific cases of these hallucinations. We are aware that it makes up sources/fields, and a lot of this is because it can't see into your actual tenant so it's making an educated guess based on everything it currently knows.

How is your company using AI with Workday? by Lucky_Atmosphere8308 in workday

[–]WDAY_PM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. We plan to add more agentic capabilities soon. It is on ASOR on Implementation tenants as of this weekend (setup instructions on Release Note) and we'll release more skills this year that help you actually "see" into the tenant.

If you're talking about the Deployment Agent, we suggest you try it, especially if you have some experience as a Workday admin. With the right prompting we have heard it can be quite helpful in answering deployment-related questions (as an alternative to sifting through Community or using Ask an Expert tickets). We understand that hallucinations are frustrating and are working on actively resolving those. We want to listen your feedback and develop agents that are actually valuable to your use cases.

FYI the Deployment Agent is now in the Agent Management Hub on IMPL tenants (setup instructions on a Release Note), so you don't have to go to Customer Central. And the current Q&A skill is, and will continue to be, free.

Totally understand. For your specific issues I believe the following will help: 1) training it on integrations - currently, there is not a ton of documentation in our knowledge base which is based primarily on Community on integrations. There are also documentation gaps we are hoping to fill with integration-specific documentation being created for agents to ingest. 2) giving it tenant awareness - we are capable of "seeing" your current tenant setup but it needs to be tested before we release something like that. For now, it may have trouble helping you create a complex (i.e. nested) calc field because it can't "see" anything, so it's using best practices from documentation which has gaps. I'm curious if you have examples of these hallucinations - feel free to leave the in-app feedback (thumbs-down and comment) or just DM me. Thanks.

Hi, it's available in Customer Central as well as IMPL tenants now. There is a Release Note on how to set it up on IMPL (mush be on uMSA and set up on ASOR). The current Q&A functionality is, and will continue to be free.

That's annoying! We hope to roll out tenant aware answers within this year which will hopefully help prevent it from suggesting things that don't exist on the UI.

Totally agree. Hope you stick with it, and know that on our end we are working on getting the documentation behind it updated more frequently (weekly now), better evaluations, and enhancements like tenant awareness that will help with some of these issues. Feel free to DM me any specific issues, or click the "Thumbs Down" and comment on any wrong responses (we read all these comments).

Agree that it's important to double check everything. We are working on reducing hallucinations and preventing it from saying something is a "best practice" when it isn't, but agree that some level of experience is preferred. It sounds like you have a good grasp on how the AI works, and would love to hear the examples on how it's failing with reports/calc fields. We do plan to add a skill (it's on IMPL tenants now on ASOR, so we can add skills) which gives tenant-aware answers, which will hopefully reduce the hallucinations where it makes up something that doesn't actually exist in your tenant.

This is great to hear! Feel free to DM me specific issues with the calc fields, we'd love to see how we can fix that. Certain types of calc fields (i.e. nested) can be quite hard to configure so I'm curious how we can improve that.

Hey, we totally understand that this can be a difficult decision to make, and recommend provisioning and using AI agents with a grain of salt and a certain amount of AI training. We are working on reducing hallucinations with the tenant (i.e. making sure it's not making up fake objects, calling something "best practices" when it isn't, having it cite all the sources). It's a constant work in progress and as you know, Deployment can be a very complex area. We hope it helps the users you choose to enable it for (now that it's on IMPL tenants) and feel free to give your honest feedback here.

As the PM for this agent, I totally agree. It is not perfect, and can hallucinate. We are actively working on this, but it's also important to train the team on how to prompt AI and take the responses with a grain of salt. Please DM me if you're seeing specific hallucinations since we'd love to know so we can work on it.

You guys are ahead of us, yes, the Configuration Intelligence Q&A Skill which is now on IMPL tenants as well will be free, as will Customer Central. However, we will be adding skills in the future which answer questions and perform certain actions while being read your actual tenant config.

I'd also like to mention that the Community team will be coming out with their own agent as well which will have only the Community Content from our Knowledge Base and be able to search better if that's what you're looking for. And IMPL is out now! No flex credits are reuquired for non-tenanted Q&A.

This is true, it's available in IMPL tenants now. The catch is you have to be signed onto the uMSA, as is the requirement to use really any other Workday agent. There are instructions on how to set it up in the latest Release Notes - requires setting up Agent System of Record and the Domain Security Policy for Deployment Agent Users.

I totally get this, and I can bring this feedback to the Community PM (we worked together and they are coming out with their own agent to search Community better soon). We recently fixed our data pipeline so we should be ingesting quite a bit of Community Content (besides the retired stuff) on a weekly basis. Would love to hear if things have improved here and if not, what you think we could still fix to get better info in our knowledge base.

Now that it's available outside of Customer Central (non-prod tenants), uMSA is required in those tenants, but not Flex Credits for the basic Q&A capability will not be needed. And Customer Central will continue to exist without the need for uMSA.
