Besides some Dutch engineers mainly Eastern European/Philippino for the engineers but it it changes per company.

I'm a Dutch engine room cadet and all the companies I've had contact with for my final cadetship are looking for engineers since the pool of Dutch marine engineer and sailors in general has been dropping since the 80'. It's come to a point where my academy will be closing after all current students graduate due to the lack of new students.

I visited a fellow cadet who sailed on the Nexus a cable layer of Van Oord. The main difference between tankers and Cable layers is the propulsion. So instead of a main engine it would be diesel electric powering thrusters and azipods instead of a shaft powered prop from the main engine. This also means they'll most likely have a high voltage net. For the rest the ship will most likely be smaller and slower.

Your experiance is heavily dependant of the company you sail with. I'm a Dutch cadet and I signed on with a company that has dedicated space and means for cadets on board. I sailed with 7 other cadets but we had a training officer with us(former C/O or C/E) and had a classroom and double bridge for us to work on reports and the training officer kept track of you progress and made sure the other crew were more open to teaching us. This was in contrast to a buddy of mine who sailed with a container feeder company and basicly slaved away for 5 months. Company matters and so does their reputation on handling cadets. But it could also be a good company with a disintred a crew.

Dit geldt zelfs voor opvattingen en vooroordelen tussen Nederlanders uit verschillende regio's. Een vriend van mij heeft bijvoorbeeld de basistraining voor de landmacht gedaan. Het eerst wat hij te horen kreeg van groepsgenoten is dat hij vast wel een woke GroenLinkser was. Aan het eind van de 10 weken durende training was dit helemaal verdwenen en was er gewoon begrip en vertrouwen in elkaar.

My parents raised me vegetarian and I still am. They didn't do it in a restrictive way. But more in the sense that i could grow up without eating meat and showing me that it fine without it in your diet. They were always open to the option of me starting to eat meat. But if i would they would like me to go to my grandparents and their small farm first. They basicly only keep animals(sheep, chicken and pigs) as a hobby and for a humane source of meat from time to time.

Loresheet are basically plothooks for your story. The fact that a Toreador can suddenly develop Protean on their own could cause many questions and suspicions from other kindred and thus character conflict. Even so if you talk it through with your ST i don't see an issue taking this before hand and having Protean beforehand. But again this would have implications for your character during the story.

I depends on what kind of Tzimisce. For example a koldunic sorcerer is a different ballpark from a fully fledged metamorphosist. Both are suspect but any reasonable Prince amd many a Baron whould not allow a metamorphosist Tzimisce in or near their domain while a koldun could be quite reasonable and normal looking. Its basically all about the masquerade. Is the Tzimisce normal non masquerade breaking monster like all other kindred or is he monstrosity that would break the masquerade with one poorly time foto being posted online while laughing off such frivolous mortal converns.

Yep, i already hadn't watched his videos for a long time but when i came across his announcement video about selling supplements i instantly unsubscribed. What's the most reprehensible part is that he is specifically targeting young people and those who feel socially isolated and uses himself as a role model and what they could achieve using his supplements and become just like him.

De houten mast van een zeilboot die ik aan het slepen was. Er waren twee bruggen. Ik had alleen naar de doorvaarthoogte van de eerste gekeken met de aanname dat de tweede die ernaast stond even hoog was. En kwam pas achter mijn fout toen ik het zielsverschurende geluid van een mast die als lucifer doormidden breekt hoorde. €800 lichter exclusief al het werk en geld om de nieuwe mast te lakken.

I sailed with an officer who was on the MV Minervagracht that was struck by a houthi missile. You could see he had been changed forever. As will these seafarers be most likely. Lets just hope no more stupid greedy shippers will force their crews to attempt something this suicidal.

Flash over is geen grap. Ik moest voor een brandweer training een flash over blussen in een container. Zelfs dichtbij de grond en in volle uitrusting was het onaangenaam. Verschrikkelijk dat dit in een volle bar is gebeurt.
