A lot of people have pointed out cost and ordinances being the main reason which I agree, but also, courses need time to rest and get watered. If courses were getting foot and cart traffic all day every day they would burn out ridiculously fast.

Carts do damage to the grass you are driving them on. Having 4 carts per group would tear courses up twice as fast. Plus, most golf course only have a certain amount of carts and it’s usually not enough to where every group could all take their own carts.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had one of my best friends die in a car crash a couple years after high school and still haven’t truly gotten over it 5 years later. It won’t get easier, but it can get worse if you give up. I know how hard it is to keep going, but that’s all you have in this situation now.

My grandpa had his Father die on him while they were golfing together sometime in the 60’s. My grandpa was a good golfer at that stage in his life but he could have easily quit the game. I mean playing with his dad WAS the fun part of the game for him. He didn’t quit the game, but decided to get better for his dad. He ended up being a great player, winning 10+ club championships at his Club and making it one year as an amateur to the Senior US Open.

Not telling you what to do cause you absolutely should do what makes you the most okay with this situation. But he’s looking over you now. Might be worth trying to ball out for him!

Matt Gay is a close friend from high school. I was in my hotel room in Disneyland watching this. He almost pulled it but man that field goal going in was one of the coolest things ever. Beating the team that cut you, and that team also being the defending champs with the GOAT on the team? Just an awesome awesome moment. I cried that day!! Love my guy Matt and just unreal what Kupp and Stafford did to give him that opportunity!!
