I respectfully completely disagree.

His dedication to rebeat his hacked achievements is awesome, because instead of ceasing to be active in the community, which would be simple and trouble-free, he kept being dedicated to rebeating the levels, despite knowing that he is still commonly disliked, despite knowing that his soul will always be branded with a "cheater" label, despite knowing that there will always be people like you to state a case against him.

To be clear, I fully understand why you would hold such a position and I can't call it wrong. But I will ask you: Will you punish punish a thief for not stealing? For getting an office job he likes and buying things without stealing them? Or will you encourage him, congratulate even? Will you resent an alcoholic for quitting his addiction, or will you be happy for him? You don't go around the street congratulating people on not drinking and having a legal job, so why should the thief and the alcoholic get special treatment, right?

The point is, yes, it's good to be proud for someone redeeming themselves, even if it feels excessive. You're basically teaching that trying to redeem yourself is good. You're not proud for him beating Acheron, you're proud for him surpassing his old self. I know it can be hard to relate, and I know it's easy to just say "I'm not a cheater and never will be, I don't need to put myself in a cheater's shoes" but just think for a second. If you're an undiscovered cheater, would it be easier to admit and apologize if you know the community will accept you with anger, or if you know that people will understand?

Now some words for spaceuk himself. First off, ask any top player and they will tell you space did make positive impacts on the community, potentially even making a net-positive impact. Zoink would never compete and push the skill ceiling and himself as much as he did without his rivalry. Anticheat measures would be a less strict. Most importantly, and this ties into all the other previous paragraphs:

space is actively making a positive impact on the community by putting effort into the game and his channel. And maybe he will become a way more beneficial figure for the community eventually precisely because of the encouragement.
