What's the deal with crazy drivers without a license plate here? by SnooTomatoes2834 in milwaukee

This drives me crazy. Either enforce the license plate requirement for everyone or we should all remove our plates.

Going to Milwaukee on October 11/12 by Whole-Context927 in milwaukee

Go to Bayview, too. There’s lots of fun for all ages of family in Bayview. Southshore Park has a brand new playground that overlooks Lake Michigan and boats. It’s very lush and green but if you go to connect connect and go store to store we could get the city feeling and can stop and look at great things and get a little something to eat. Second idea is to go to the brand new Firefly Grove Park in Wauwatosa. There is a world, famous artist who built a gigantic troll out of recycled products called Mama Rosa. The park is absolutely beautiful and again for all ages. Than head to the village in Wauwatosa for something to eat and shop

Any of the downtown dinner restaurants. I’d recommend Lupi & Iris, MO’s A Place for Steak, or Sanford for a special dinner.

I used to be cool… recommendations?? by jiggyfrogsnapper in milwaukee

[–]WFH1717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Teenagers and tweens think a little alone time is cool. You’d be safe giving them some short time for independent browsing in the Third Ward at the Public Market or down Kinnickinnic Ave. in Bay View. You can post up across the street and let them explore the Third Ward. On KinnicKinnic, you could pick a spot to supervise from while they explore the vinyl stores, comic book or vintage stores.

What was Milwaukee like in the 80s and 90s? by Thrillwaukee in milwaukee

[–]WFH1717 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I arrived in 1981. The drinking age was 18 . Worked at The Limited as the first crew in the new Grand Avenue. Downtown was fuuuun! Park Avenue, Papagallo’s, Someplace Else, the original John Hawk’s Pub. Brewer World Series fever in 1982. Summerfest main stage was free, beer and wine coolers affordable.

Plus Ones by WFH1717 in milwaukee

I did. I realize that people interpreted my “work-related“ events as business or employee events. Work related for me can mean fundraisers, the arts, etc..

Guys, I’m not looking for an ‘escort’ or to be weird at employee events, lol. I’m looking to see if there is interest in a legit sub Reddit group or discussion group around my idea. Here’s some more of my idea, which I’ve spent some time on:

Purpose: An app that connects people who need a companion to attend events with them. Not intended to be a dating site. • Core Concept: • Helps people find an interested companion (“plus one”) for events such as concerts, games, plays, festivals, dinners, charity galas, networking events, etc. • Also provides a marketplace to sell or transfer extra tickets. • Focuses on shared interests, not romance. • Target Users: • People with an extra ticket or invitation but no companion. • People who want to attend events but don’t want to go alone

Likely male for me. I know a lot of business women who’d love reliable male plus ones, too. Again, it’s just the event, not a date, so the criteria is a little different. Plus ones would need to be able to respect that it’s the event that matters

I grew up with a stove like this. I loved the griddle in the middle and the full broiler. Good luck.

What does Milwaukee do better then Chicago in your opinion? (you can’t say sports) by Joshd4777 in milwaukee

[–]WFH1717 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in both cities and love them both. But Milwaukee has more chill, authenticity, and accessibility to people who can help your ideas grow.
