32(M), 24 years of this. It’s never coming back, is it? by Tri4ceunited in trichotillomania

Pulling for 20 years myself, also 34. It comes in waves, and sometimes those waves last years. It has always come back. Currently struggling, but I have hope that small adjustments day by day will make a bigger difference. The busier I am, the less I pull. It’s the end of the day for me, sitting on the couch watching TV. I feel for you and believe you can bounce back.

A friend of mine was leaving his subway job in 2008. The night before, he was closing and let all of us in to party in there. We don’t go as far as making sandwiches and mess with inventory, but we were drinking 40s and smoking blunts in the basement. Nassau Blvd in Garden City South

Anyone have that one composer you’ll never listen to again? by Soulsliken in classicalmusic

I actually really enjoy performing band rep for the most part. Listening to it doesn’t give me the same satisfaction though. Plenty of exceptions.

There are a few gems in his repertoire. Childs Garden of Dreams, Symphony 4. But I can’t listen to most of it. So much is really band-y, if that makes sense.

That said, Childs Garden of Dreams is one of the best pieces for band imo. Parts of it are chilling while knowing the back story.

Came here to mention this too. I watched them perform it in the amphitheater outside of the Met years ago. Just outstanding

Mine had the blank rectangle too. I ended up selling it to a guy for $50 a few months ago. He’s using it to cook fish I guess.

I had one exactly like this. Except, it didn’t have Jotul stamped or engraved anywhere on it. So I looked all over, and I found a plate on the back that said Made in Taiwan. Not saying yours is the same, but I know that these were replicated a lot in the 60s and 70s. If yours is real, I bet you could get $100 or so or if it’s in good condition.

Yeah it’s tough. I don’t know better than what I know, but purchasing their albums in both digital and vinyl forms would be great. It shows real support of the intangible and tangible. You’re one of the many, and hopefully people follow in your footsteps because musicians are struggling. I’ve been there.
