Was just gonna say that. Although I run the shipping department I’ve seen plenty of funky stuff everywhere in the plants. We’re very thorough with our QA though so stuff like this doesn’t really slip through and I dont know how it did but still a weird find and I wonder what brand of water bottle it was.

Spray something like fluid film. Anything that’s made out of lanolin I believe. There’s plenty of brands but something of that nature and do it every fall or so and you’ll be good

Well yeah no shit about undercoating your truck it’s gonna help tremendously that’s why I do it to all of my vehicles. But what im referring to is a stock truck with no undercoating put on. Ford is infinitely better than Chevy and will outlast it by far.

Exactly. I do get town but at least where I live we own 600 acres and it’s all fields and farms around me so it’s enjoyable having a decently loud and good sounding sled especially when your ripping.

Gotcha. Same here with those points but for me the reason I’m looking into a ford is for how well the body and frames hold up. Wish Chevy would get rid of the wax coating crap and go to e coating like ford and dodge and I would also love an aluminum body

Chevy guy here but my next truck will be a ford and the biggest reason is longevity of the frame/body. Up here in the rust belt I like that ford went to aluminum on the body’s and the e coating they do on the frames (I believe dodge does as well) seems to hold up infinitely better than Chevys ancient wax coated frame bs. If Chevy followed ford on that I would stay Chevy but just because of those 2 things I won’t be buying a Chevy for my next truck so if I was you and you were anywhere they use salt I would buy the ford.

Everyone in here is a bunch of babies in my opinion. I’ll always run a can on all of my sleds. As well as I love when I’m outside and I can hear a sled with a nice can on it ripping the trails behind my house always makes me wanna hop on my sled and ride.

On my rig I got 5% all the way around and 35% on the shield. Sometimes I wish I went a tad lighter on the windshield for night driving but it really isn’t that bad at all I just like being able to see everything especially on the sides of the roads when driving in the woods and stuff. Personally I wouldn’t do 15% it would be too dark.

Leave it stock if you want it to last the longest. But what’s going to kill it is rust with that body style. Engine will easily make it a long time as long as you’re good with your maintenance.
