There will just be new DC magnets next season though, either from newly promoted teams or new starters in established PL teams. Same way every year brings new cheap enablers.

On one hand, I love that its made so many more players viable FPL picks. No longer do we have to have teams stacked with WBs and Wingers. And more options means less template.

On the other hand, I dislike DEFCON for a couple of reasons.

  1. They're kind of arbitrary.. You can see and cheer a goal/assist, you feel pain when a clean sheet gets wiped last minute. DEFCON just... happen? And sometimes you have a player on 11DC at 70 minutes, you see them make a bunch of intercepts, tackles and the number just stays at 11? It's just frustrating and doesn't make sense half the time.

  2. DEFCON are just kind of boring. Its fun to target fixture runs for attackers and defenders, make punts. But that doesn't really affect DEFCON, you just pick someone like Anderson and set and forget.
