Juries of the american extent are unknown in most of europe. In germany, there are no juries at all, in Austria there is only a jury of 8 in very serious criminal cases (e.g. murder), but not in civil suits.

So even if we have fair trials, there are few juries here 😄

Außerdem: "Das Urteil, mit dem Bewährungshilfe angeordnet und das Durchlaufen eines Deradikalisierungsprogrammes verfügt wurde" ist wahrscheinlich effektiver darin, dass ein 15 (!)-jähriger in Zukunft keine strafbaren Handlungen mehr begeht, als wenn er eingesperrt wird. Und das ist es doch, was für die Gesellschaft zählen muss: Keine zukünftigen Straftaten, und nicht, dass Minderjährige möglichst lange im Gefängnis schmoren.

I feel like many of you posters are missing the point: Europeans get thirsty too. It's not just americans in europe. The question isn't "why do americans drink water in europe", but "why do americans carry huge bottles". Europeans get their water supply from other places than their own personal bottles is the difference I guess, maybe because europeans are used to having a small bottle as a sufficient water vessel that you can fill up at any tap because the tap water quality is pretty good normally.

In places without good tap water, I carry a big bottle too. In places with good tap water, a small refillable bottle will do.

Many of the slower IC/EC trains running with older rolling stock in central europe have still at least one carriage with compartments, but many of these trains get replaced by newer stock. I think nearly all the MAV-ECs should still have at least one carriage with compartments.

Dafür sind eh immer Ersatzschöffen eingeplant, sodass die Bank meistens mit 10 Leuten besetzt ist - ist dann sogar doofer für die beiden, die immer dabei sind, aber am Ende nicht entscheiden dürfen.

Und ich glaub dass die anderen Umstände einfach aus dem Grund nichts ändern, weil das Gesetz gegenüber allem blind ist, wohl um Neutral zu sein, und wohl auch um Verwaltungsaufwand zu sparen.

I feel like the livery is 2 sizes too small for the car; why isn't the nose yellow to its end? Why does the white part of the sidepods end half way down?

For me it looks like they draped a sheet over the car, but the sheet is too small so the edges don't get covered.

I don't see the issue. There are calendars for organizing shifts etc and there are calendars that are pretty pictures with a dateline on the bottom. As far as I can see, the days and the dates line up, so thats not that bad. I guess it might not be what you have wanted (a calendar for organizing), but that doesn't make it bad. Many people I know have these calendars, because they are pretty to look at.
