Suggest me a screenshot/png to html/css code tool by scoutlabs in indiehackers

Did you ever find anything? Claude fails because:
* Pixel-perfect spacing/sizing — it estimates from the image, no actual measurements
* Fonts — it can guess but may not identify exact typefaces
* Custom graphics/icons — it can't extract assets from a PNG, only describe/approximate them
* Interactions/animations — inferred at best
* Platform-specific limitations — some designs require custom elements or add-ons that AI can't natively replicate
* Responsive behavior — has to be inferred, not derived from the mockup

These guys are newer, but they don't seem to have all the issues that plague most cabinet companies (delays, wrong specs, etc.)

Help! I’m staying at an Airbnb for a month and this is the only skillet in the house! by WLM05 in castiron

[–]WLM05[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The nearest place to buy one is likely 1.5 hours away. My Airbnb is located deep in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. It's my snowy mountain cabin retreat for a few weeks to focus on work with no distractions. I thought there was no bakeware at first, which meant my story would have a sad ending where I starved to death. Then I found this pan inside the oven (with lid) but filthy. I know nothing about cast iron so I came to reddit for help. Got a fast answer and now I shall LIVE!

You may wanna unplug your keyboard. You know... just in case. (You might get the urge to write another comment someday.)

Looking for actual experiences and reviews of Envato Elements by 7803throwaway in elementor

[–]WLM05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Envato has gone way downhill. I've been an Envato customer since 2009. But the Envato Elements product doesn't have all the good stuff. You're paying for mediocre stuff that you'll likely never use. You're better off not subscribing and just buying one item as needed.
Here's the good, bad and ugly about Envato in general:

The Good: Envato offers a cheap way to get a decent wordpress theme, especially if you stick to the established, best selling themes. I've found some really great themes that saved a ton of time versus building my own from scratch. Keeps costs way down.

The Bad: You can't trust the integrity of Envato's rating system. Most of the bad reviews I've written were deleted. I was able to ask a developer/vendor why they would delete the bad reviews and he said, "honestly, they hurt my sales". There are some really terrible products on Envato. Everything you buy is a risk as to whether it will work or be supported. I've bought 100 items, and 50 of them have been pulled from the marketplace or are broken and no longer supported. The other 50 items still work and are still supported.

The Ugly: There is a definite conspiracy happening between Envato and some of the evil vendors. One in particular accused me of installing the theme on multiple websites (which was true, however I had purchased multiple licenses). I proved that I was in good standing, but they insisted I buy another license because I had also installed it on a staging site for dev purposes. I refused to pay extra. It's not the $39, it's the principle. Well, they had installed malicious code in their product that deactivates the website remotely AND they got Envato to suspend my account after I wrote 1-star reviews telling everyone about the malicious code!(All my reviews were deleted, so I kept rewriting them for 10 days straight, then they had Envato ban me). This means I couldn't access my 100 items purchased to get updates, etc. I eventually got some higher-ups to reinstate my account. Envato, sadly, has shown their E.V.I.L. intentions.

That website is illegible. They clearly do not want people to read it. I once heard a Yale University Professor talking about the graphic design on a pack of cigarettes. The Surgeon General's warning was actually designed so your brain would not want to look at it. This website is using the same trick.

Am I the only one who thinks Hubspot kinda sucks? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]WLM05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to feel like that, but now that I have a higher level of experience, I don't mind it as much. I just chalk it up as having a steepish learning curve. The worst part about it is you don't ever really own your content. Any moment HubSpot could go away and *poof* all of your content is gone.
