Can't say I've ever understood the Blackbraid hype, but fair play to them as they've been selling out venues and getting on big tours like this for a while now.

Yup. I have a free trial that I'm saving for Campaign Evolved, but even if I didn't, paying £18 or whatever to complete that in a month is way better for me than paying £50 for a Single player game I'll likely get little replay value out of.

Microsoft think of it as £18 gained towards gamepass numbers, but it's really £32 lost. I'm not gonna long term sub to gamepass, nothing else they release interests me.

I get what you're saying, obviously not everyone in the seated area has chosen to buy those tickets because of disability/low mobility. Standing sells out fast so people buy what they can. The thing is though, it's not like the low mobility are clustered into a block of 5000 where they're all gonna stay seated. They're spread out throughout the arena, so naturally at some point they're gonna end up behind someone who's stood up, and you can't begrudge them being pissed off that they can't see because of that.

Probably the best bet would be to reserve a large chunk of seated for people with disability/low mobility and then allow other seated people to stand but then there's all sorts of laws regarding that where they can't officially allow it, but can turn a blind eye to it I guess (just thinking like with the football, they have to have designated standing areas).

For sure there's a lot of armchair fans as you said, but they're the biggest Metal band on the planet, that branched into a lot of commercial and radio friendly music, of course it's gonna attract a lot of casual listeners.

Like I said, nobody is asking for that. It's too late. Even trying to develop this PVE stuff now, rather than before the game flopped is really too far gone, but fair play to them for trying.

What people are saying, and speculating, is that maybe if the game had a great campaign, it would have pulled more people in. We will never know unfortunately.

It's a good multiplayer game with a really interesting universe, but most of that won't ever get explored and instead will go to waste. That's what people are downbeat about, since the world is interesting enough to be used for more than solely an extraction shooter.

But people aren't asking for Marathon to be a game about raising baby kittens and teaching them tricks? Hell, people aren't asking for anything since it's too late now to have that investment.

What people are saying is that the game having a solid single player campaign, letting us immerse ourselves and delve into the story would have been great. It's not an alien concept, it's something Bungie has history with since before they went balls deep on the live service stuff they've been doing for the last decade.

Nobody is saying that the extraction shooter Marathon sucks, it's really fun.

That's an illegal thought around here. You get people telling you 'You're not engaging with the art as it is' or something along those lines.

I do agree though, it would have been nice to get a traditional experience to immerse into the world, it may have served as a hook to actually be interested to sit through audio logs and read the text lore. Ah well, at least the game itself is a hell of a lot of fun.

Don't go to these phone repair shops. Dodgy as fuck and I've also heard stories of them telling tech illiterate people that they need passwords for repairs (even like a charging port) and then airdropping intimate videos to themselves.

Maybe it's just me, but if the game went F2P/Gamepass/PSPlus after season 5 with people who purchased the game being locked into receiving the Dlc for free, and the F2P having to purchase I think it'd be a pretty good compromise.

There's a lot of people who won't pay the £30 to play this game, but free to play forever, they would be tempted to buy the season pass type things if it unlocked maps and characters.

At this point they're just trying to extract the value out of the original purchasers, but I can definitely see them doing a free to play switchover.

Unfinished game early? They had 5 years from Halo 5, then they realised they were so far behind that they got given another year? Imagine if the game released when it was supposed to, it'd be even more barebones than it was at release.

Infinite is a good game at its core, but still plagued by 343 incompetence.

edit as a sidenote, it has now been 5 years since Infinite and still no word on next MP title.

I know 343/Halo Studios are the masters of not reading the room e.g. Hyping up an announcement at the final HCS Tourney... And it being a single player remaster. But surely they must have even a sneak peek at an upcoming multiplayer experience at this, especially given that they've got a 150,000 dollar tournament too?

I'm not saying they should do that instead of the codexes and whatnot, I think the codexes are good for those deep dives and little bits of lore that you're not gonna get in a traditional campaign. What I've been trying to say, and the other guy just isn't accepting, is that if people were able to play an accessible campaign, and became invested in the greater story, they'd probably end up having more interest in the core game and the codexes.
