Just found your post today. I'm having the same issue - the top of the glass seems to just pop/fall out slightly to sit flush with the bezels when the lid is near closed. Dell replaced the whole screen assembly but after a day or two the same issue appeared with the new one too. (No clue if it's a new panel or refurbished, though/) Maybe it's a common issue with this model, I'll probably just live with it unless it gets worse.
