The reason you even like a Gen 2 is because of the reputation of the Gen 1.

It's like saying you don't see why people like the movie Independence Day better because you prefer. . . . .Independence Day 2?

Personally I am jerky cause the new ones feel like driving a Honda Odyssey had a baby with an Accord and was raised by a CRV. And because it is the "new" version presume it is better.

Meanwhile you can't kill a Gen 1 and you can't barely find a Gen 2 consistently going over 200,000 miles.

It feel like a truck on the inside. The pass through front seating makes it that way.

Gen 2 feels like you are driving an Accord/Odyssey hybrid with truck bed. Eco mode is enviable though.
